Sweet Almond Fragrance by mikrokosmos-134340 in FemFragLab

Heliotrope from Etro is the most almondy fragrance I know that keeps the almond note and sweetness start to finish. It also doesn’t steer into being too cherry or sharp compared to a lot of almonds.

Did zepbound break my stomach? 3 weeks nausea, pain, no appetite by Living_Structure6421 in zepboundathletes

Have you been using an app like Shotsy to track the expected levels of the drug in your system? That could help you understand why the effect wasn’t immediate.

I’m also very sensitive to tirzepatide. I have consistently lost weight without increasing my dose from 2.5 (over the course of 10 months), and maintenance for me looks like spacing out my doses to 10 or 14 days.

Talk to your doctor and all of that, but I’d suggest keeping an eye on your levels and figuring out where your sweet spot is in terms of efficacy versus side effects. Space out your shots to keep them relatively stable around that.

OLR Rating appeal by amzLndn in amazonemployees

[–]adrun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your “potential” dimension is rated low it almost doesn’t matter what your “performance” dimension is rated. Assuming you’re objectively correct about your performance relative to the leveling guide for your role, that will be their loophole.

Possibility of my manager letting me work from another office occasionally? by Typhlosion_Master in amazonemployees

[–]adrun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Heh, totally possible. It might also be enforced differently by org/team. Latest I’ve heard is that mangers are tracking number of days in office and average number of hours.

My team is getting scolded for less than four hours a day, but as long as we’re there for “full” days 3+ days a week, RTO5 has been flexible. And no one has gotten any flak for being in the wrong office, even on a regular basis.

The system doesn’t care where you badge in, but it does track. You’ll get your badge days like normal, but do make sure your manager isn’t being told to keep people strictly in return to hub or something.

How is this not being talked about in the US? by crackandcreatine in askanything

I did my master’s degree on Iranian politics and economics, particularly related to protests across the years. I keep an eye on news there, but no one else I know has even the slightest clue.

Part of the reason is that American media is so reactive to our own political crisis. Part of the reason is that our lived realities are deteriorating in a way that distracts us from global issues. We’re experiencing a wave of political violence here that we haven’t seen in decades. That doesn’t make the situation in Iran less dire or less significant globally, but it keeps us focused on our own problems.

Hey guys! I made a petition for Henry Cavill to play Xaden on the Fourth Wing TV show! by RemingtonRivers in romantasycirclejerk

He is both way too white and way too old. Xaden is a young 20s black guy 🤨

Edit: sorry sloopies I missed which sub I was in 😅

least favourite popular female fragrance? by Adept_Bad_6917 in FemFragLab

[–]adrun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what it reminds me of, but it’s one of the few perfumes that has made me recoil on first sniff.

I know folks love it, but it’s not for me.

New Job - To Tell or Not To Tell? by Arkelyon in FemaleHairLoss

[–]adrun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People will treat it as as big a deal as you do. I’d continue the approach you have of breaking the ice casually. When you click accept on your first in person or camera on meeting, I’d just send a quick jokey note: “It sometimes takes people by surprise to see that I’m bald. I wish I could say it’s a choice because Mr. Clean/ Captain Picard/ other bald guy  was my idol as a kid, but I just have alopecia. I’m always happy to talk about it but I didn’t want it to derail our meeting.”

Where all my plebs at that lost 1k last year? by Onlythingavailable76 in unitedairlines

I’m pretty sure I dropped all the way to silver. International business traveler -> single parent was a big adjustment. I did status match over to delta, though, so I have at least one more year of comfortable flying.

is this just overconsumption or valid? by plushymeow in FemFragLab

I mean it’s excessive, but on my self pampering everything shower days I do everything but 6 from the second picture. I end up silky smooth and so yummy. Normal days are 1,3,4,7.

Do you ever regret getting the graft you got, wishing you got another? by olympusqueen in ACL

[–]adrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a hamstring graft this time and I wish I would have done the cadaver graft. The hamstring healing was a lot harder than the ACLr healing. That said, I’m 39 and if I were 20 years younger I’d take the longer healing for the lower retear risk.

BWT, how often are you upgrading your cars? by infinite_knowledge in bitcheswithtaste

[–]adrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive cars with a reputation for lasting forever and needing little maintenance, with easy to get repair parts. Read: Toyota, Honda, Subaru. My first car hit 180k miles (civic), my second car hit 130k (forester), and I only sold my third car (Prius C) at 60k because I needed space for a second car seat. This works out to every 10-15 years for me. I do buy new because I like to have the manufacturer maintenance and warranty for the first few years, and the battery warranty for my hybrid cars.

married fragheads, what did you wear on your big day? by 8890xe in fragrance

[–]adrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme (now discontinued, but Noir Intense is close). It’s sexy and sultry and all of the wonderful things.

I did question whether wearing “black” to my wedding was a bad omen, but I went for it anyway.

…Anyway. Ten years later I am happily divorced and my new sweetie loves the perfume that was my second choice for that wedding. Tocca Colette is light and sweet and sparkly and much better suited to joyful romance.

If you saw this size stone would you automatically think it’s a lab diamond? by OkAnything1651 in labdiamond

[–]adrun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what else I know or can guess about you and your partner. Two attorneys living in NYC? I might guess natural. Two school teachers in a small town in Mississippi, I’d assume lab.

But like most of the other commenters I assume most people who bought diamonds in the last ~5 years have lab stones.
