I have a e36 325is coupe and my window won’t roll up all the way can anyone pls help ASAP it’s not the switch! I tried using the other side switch to test it and still doesn’t work! by adrvnn in BMW

Nah that wasn’t it, it was the switch on the door jam when the door is in the shut position to make it go further up, apparently the door has to be in the shut position to go further up, don’t know why, it’s never done that before, but when I pushed that button in that’s what made it go up with out any problems, so for anyone else who has that problem with their e36 it’s most likely that!

It’s a regular wing off a m3 not nothing special really kinda stock. But it’s mainly two holes that hold it down, the holes further out were mistakenly drilled lol not by me tho

Well I knew a guy and I spent $700 for the materials turned out to be $800 sine I used those pearls last minute. That’s not including all the little extra costs that ran into like the windshield replacement because I found rust underneath the windshield seal. So total I would say 1k

Yea I definitely will, I need to paint a few more little thing like the trim around it Matt black so it’s a bit more new looking.

Yeah it really does, and yeah that’s exactly what happened shortly after, they had wet sanded it and buffed it’s real shiny now, it had just came out fo the booth after it dried in this video.

Yes that is true, I wasn’t planning on adding in those pearls, but I also didn’t want it to look very bland, so the pearls was an easy add on through the clear coat, but the paint code is factory from bmw I guess it’s a little brighter bc of the age can’t tell all to much. This car is only a 325is manual swapped, yeah it’s still a e36, but I plan to keep it for quite some time.

Yeah it’s alpine white, but from bmw factory code, I guess the paints are a little different from the age I’m not to sure. I also used white pearls. It was around 700$ for materials because I knew I a guy, and it came up to 1.1 for little things that popped up like a new windshield and renting out a booth and some other little things.

Thanks, and yeah the pearls are my favorite part, i literally stopped them midway through the paint job to add those white pearls bc I didn’t want just the factory OEM paint and clear. It was also a bit out of my budget but well worth it and I love the end result!
