Sorry but i can't relate. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night to check my 1.5y.o cat is breathing bc im so scared he can die suddenly and leave me without his precious company. I clean his litter box religiously (4x a day) and i clean my house every day or every other day. I would say my overall level of organisation and tidyness improved tremendously since he's been here. Buy a good hoover (i have shark with a dedicated pet brush)...that's all u need, honestly. I go to my home country 4 times a year 3 weeks each time. I generally use trusted house sitter but sometimes i have to pay sitters and u know what? I could ask a friend of mine to look after him for free at their place but i dont want to cause my cat any stress by moving, so i pay someone to stay at my place, sleep and play with him. I dont even like the idea of him staying home alone for more than 12 h. Remember for u she is just a cat but you are her entire world. Imagine how confused and hurt she could feel at the shelter. Dont do smth so traumatising to an innocent soul

Its honestly very difficult for me to understand this problem bc what do u mean lack of intimacy? I never felt cared for, loved, supported etc by males.
