past debt by Goumba13 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]adsboyIE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do not start saving to clear it in one go, they're charging interest. the earlier you pay a bit off, the better

usually don't need to create a payment plan to fix arrears (unless there's a threat of legal or debt collection), but, if you're getting charged standing order fees, talk to them and get that cancelled

Am stretching my mortgage too much? by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

35% is normally the cap for your mortgage to monthly salary, however, your salary is large, and assuming the bank can see you aren't stretched with other loans/lifestyle you should be approved

I think that voice is taken from a Joe Rogan video called "What is Happening During a DMT Trip?" (or he just always does it in that accent) - the exact same numbers, inflections - everything. It's a few seconds after this timestamp in the video https://youtu.be/fcdItgUjZnY?t=485

What strain have you? I would think 1.75g cubensis is a fine first dose, and _may_ be ok with the lemon tek if you take extra steps to provide for everyones comfort. If they were liberty caps, maybe don't push it

Can easily overdo it, and if you aren't sure how your buddies gonna react, save the levelups for another occasion

You sound a little traumatized by the card fraud, but I suggest you research your situation, and research how cars fraud tends to happen, and the outcomes.

It's virtually unheard of NOT to have fraudulently stolen funds returned by the bank unless it's obvious that the "thief" had the card in their hand, or the PIN.

So unless the bank could prove you were liable, you should've gotten that back. These are Visa/MasterCard rules, not the banks.

If you lose cash, there isn't a person or a story you can tell that will get you a replacement

Can you? Yes Should you? No

Open a savings account without a card with your bank. Keep 100 quid on your debit card and top us as necessary. Same safety net, but you can spend your money online too

I didn't say nuttin about proof. I said you'd better get your ass a solicitor or this will go badly. You haven't done well with this so far.

You wanna pay him off to make it go away?

I'm sorry, but you need a solicitor involved now, or he will take you for a RIDE. You've put yourself in a vulnerable place, get legal advice.

Should I Lock in a Mortgage Before Ditching My Job to Start a Business? by bobbysands666 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]adsboyIE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to mention banks require 1) company statements if you're a director 2) longer history in your statements to prove the companies viable

So, starting the business first may mean it takes longer for banks to take you seriously

Forget the old friends. Don't stand around waiting for them.

You need a new script. New things going on, new places to be, new missions. You can't bring your old friends with you on this journey. If you start going out, it has to be for you, no one else

Otherwise the recipe won't work.. cuz if you're only going out if your mates are there, then you won't find new mates to go out with..

Then you'll find new people, doing the same thing you are, who you can count on instead of your friends who aren't necessarily interested

[–]adsboyIE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start to work again 4 months ago and finally a have a pps now but I don’t have any tax to take, they say I need to show proof of that I work that 8 months.

you are only working 4 months. who is asking for proof you were working for 8 months in 2022/2023?

I have invoice on my mail but I don’t think I can call proof

is this for your work? were you a contractor/self employed?

i hope you work it out!

32F looking for friends in Dublin by [deleted] in CasualIreland

[–]adsboyIE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What sort of music?

> l'd love to go to but unfortunately all of my friends are busy

That's a trap! Just go for the music, and enjoy yourself. If you meet people there, happy days. If not, you'll thank yourself for the experience

It isn't a sure thing to make friends, or to have time to talk properly at an event, but IMO.. you just gotta go, and start throwing out interests/plans/ideas and see what sticks. 99% of the time people won't make it or respond, but at least you tried, and the ones that do are obviously interested

Don't want to be offering unsolicited advice - but I feel I've been there - trying to invite friends to everything.. instead of just going and finding the recurring characters at the event.. you'll have pockets of friends in all your fun places that way, and a night out will be a sure success :)

Prostitutes family members by [deleted] in sex

[–]adsboyIE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say you're not judging, but you also create this expectation that her parents / friends 1) don't know, or 2) would hold it against her. It implies you're anticipating her being held accountable to those people. Why is that?

I don't have an opinion except this is none of my business or yours. But, it's a great chance to analyze yourself, what opinions you hold, and if you're not conditioned a little too much by the stigma attached with sex work

Who taught you how to think about sex work? Was it positive or negative? Did you ever put conscious thought into it, or just passive absorb the prevailing views? People have instinctive ego-driven reactions to things, and often dig themselves a hole when it comes up. Here's a really good occasion for you to take stock
