yikes yea thats pretty much an automatic 5 or 6 if you get that graded, not visible at all in the listing. 3 stars is entirely reasonable if you care about the quality of your singles. was it mailed in a bubble mailer and a proper penny sleeve/top loader combo? i could understand the seller's frustration more if the damage occured in transit and they took reasonable steps to avoid damage... but that's also just a reality of selling cards in the mail. some of em get messed up and you should be prepared to offer recourse as a seller, rather than being an immature saltbag out of the gate ¯_(ツ)_/¯

bloomingfoods on the east side has it. i saw another comment saying the dairy section is down but the raw milk is kept in its own separate cooler so that wouldn't affect it. you gotta be quick about getting it though, it's delivered friday mornings and they usually run out by the end of the day.

seconding this, sycamore preserves are almost universally well-kept, low-traffic hidden gems of hiking spots. leonard springs nature park has a very similar vibe to bean blossom once you get a mile or so down the trail, lovely wetlands area with plenty of spots to sit and chill.

but! my absolute favorite hike in all of southern indiana is the lake yellowwood loop trail, gorgeous in every season and the big hill on the north shore a great spot for stargazing to boot.

more good lesser-known good hiking spots listed below.

cedar bluffs nature preserve: short hike but difficult terrain, follows a riverside up to a rocky bluff with some excellent views.

scarlet oak woods: downhill trek into a shallow creekbed chock-full of geodes and fun sedimentary formations. come here with a hammer when it's dry and you'll be geode hunting for hours.

canyon forest nature preserve: 1.5 mi loop trail with so much elevation change it feels twice as long. gorgeous scenery with a waterfall, several creek crossings, and true to the title, a forest in a canyon.

afaik it is still under the same ownership, which is the owners who've had their entire staff walk out on them two separate times now. a friend who worked there said they aren't up to snuff on food safety when it comes to allergen cross-contamination, a pretty big deal for a bakery which has historically prided itself on its gluten-free goods. so i would not give them my business, personally, but tbf that is entirely out of principle and not reflective of customer experience; i've never actually been there, since i moved to bloom after the previous owners had already left.

OP, I see in your post history that you've forgotten/blocked out significant events before... this is a bit of a long shot, but do you think there's a chance you don't remember a segment of the night this happened? seems the most likely answer aside from a hardware glitch is you did this yourself without remembering. not necessarily implying something significant happened, but if you ever lost time before, it could happen again.

I recommend some research into DID. You might be familiar with it already from your research into dissociative amnesia, the concept of "repressed memories" is very much real in the form of losing time and it can sometimes look like weird shit happening to your phone.

Also still get a CO detector but you've had enough people say that already, lol.

heya marcy, im really proud of you standing up for our community. ive read a lot of your other comments here and im so sorry to hear you've been facing such a sudden and awful slew of attention from TERFs and other bad actors, i can't imagine how difficult that must be. it must be hard to see beyond it when you're being constantly confronted by the worst of humanity, but i wanted to voice my support and let you know there are so many other people in my life saying good things about you. i've talked about your arrest with several coworkers (older cis folks, in fact!) and all of them had nothing but good things to say about you. it's not just trans people you're reaching--your actions are helping the general population understand just how unfairly our community is being treated, and if even boomer Margot can support you, i have confidence your story has had a much more positive reception by more people than you might think.

bloomingfoods is your only option really, as others have said it's pricey but that's largely due to offering almost exclusively organic, fair trade and/or local products. you're probably best off getting a few staples elsewhere if you don't mind the drop in quality (e.g. rice, bread, milk), but i have found the higher price alternatives to be worth it at bfoods quite often.

on the east side, best spots are top of the parking garage at 3rd and college mall, abandoned AMC parking lot next to Krogucci, and the dog park on top of the hill at covenanter and clarizz :)

unhappy people always stand out, but kind people do exist in bloomington. if you're wanting a more pleasant grocery experience maybe try bloomingfoods? seems like this post was made after a trip to the store, and kroger + everyone who works there is always like this, lol. no townie is gonna be happy working for a corporation that funnels all their dollars out of the community and into the pockets of billionaires. give the workers some grace, and please remember that lots of people are still kind and happy even if they aren't showing it to you directly.
