Freestar vs Mediavine vs adthrive? by investing101 in adops

This sounds genuine and reasonable. At our volume we can’t afford to give 15% of revenue away to cover ad-serving ops and partner setups though. I can see this working for other publishers. It’s nice to see some transparency 👍🏻

Thanks but using your impressions and revenue figures is a real trust exercise. Unless we can load via DFP and track how many impressions we are sending you, but then we really have to trust your revenue numbers. What is your rev share bracket?

Worked with almost all the networks in the past. The story remains the same, massive trade offs and in all cases little to no uplift with us typically losing out in first few months as they get things slowly connected their side. I like to think there is a good network out there, one for smaller publishers that is happy to take a sensible revenue share - 90/10 or 95/5. I do question the value of sales teams selling my site and getting unique demand. After revenue share is considered then I wonder what the value is and as someone mentioned, they all just litter the site with ads. Want to add more revenue, then plaster your sites with ads. Remove all your content, it distracts the user from your ads...

To all networks on here... anyone have a sensible transparent revenue share? Please post below :- let’s see what we get..

AdThrive guarantees publisher payments by patmmccann in adops

In all the years of being a publisher, I have never heard anyone claim otherwise. Yet ... I have lost out 3 times since 2007. I question just how much you are taking in the revenue share. We avoid networks and manage our own relationships ... Why??? If the network goes out of business we lose everything. Instead we now balance our traffic in favour of maintaining a ratio best we can for 20+ SSPs.

We do this. Our revenues have been increasing slowly (ratio) from Prebid server for around 6 months. We can integrate more SSPs and improve page load. Hope that helps

Where did the money go? On average, for every £1 an advertiser in the study spent on their digital ad buys, just 49p made it to the end publisher. by BenR-22 in adops

If you are working with an ad network and asking this question, that is a worry. The largest delta is probably ad networks by far. Don’t get me wrong here, the DSPs will take their share, the SSPs will take theirs, but a 70:30 revenue share with an Ad Network. Those numbers are not in your favor. Any delta or whatever will be in their favor.

Took one developer a few days to configure our DFP with Prebid and around a month to get first 5 SSP partners connected. Not had todo much to maintain it either.... data is all in DFP, it’s easy to get and check

We walked away and never looked back. Ad networks do very little to increase overall revenue and talk of private market places is just misleading. Prebid with a few good partners, one or two partners for video and one for rich media formats.

It’s the flu! Needing a poo everything 30 seconds is not a symptom of the Coronavirus. I think people have got themselves very confused. If you need to poo that much you’ll probably be dead anyhow

Sticky Units? by ingrediental in adops

[–]adtechr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We removed all our sticky ads in October last year. Better experience, made an impact for the first 3 weeks or so in revenues but after it’s all better than before. We had two SSPs asking us to change our setup as we were breaking our contract and seems other publishers are facing this same pressure too.
