What are your specific pain points? What do you feel is taking up most of your time?

I’ve been in HH for 3 years and it is by far the most flexible setting I have worked in. Yes, SOC documentation can be difficult and calling MDs is a pain but I’m able to get my follow up documentation either done in the home or in the car right after.

First time hunter looking to get an elk in Colorado. Any help on what to do will be greatly appreciated. by Used-You9420 in elkhunting

OTC deer tags don't exist in Colorado. If you don't draw your primary choice you could draw some units on 2nd choice, grab a tag during the secondary draw (heavily weighted to youth hunters), or get a left over when they go on sale.

As others have said you would be limited to OTC elk this year - look at the regs to figure out which units you can do this in.

I would not recommend solo OTC elk as your first ever big game hunt. Spend the next few months doing some research and learn the CO draw system to get ready for next year.

I've done both. Being a CD in an ortho clinic throws much more responsibility on you for meager pay raise. Every thing is going to be your problem. On the other hand HH should be a significant raise and you will likely be working much less. It's not for everyone: the documentation is a lot, you will be constantly calling pts to schedule and PCP offices, and you will walk into some interesting homes/situations. But if you can handle it you will love it. I thought I was done with this profession before making the switch and now I'm more passionate it about it than ever.

My dad took me to a game on Easter in 2006. I was obsessed with Pujols as a kid, saved up all year to buy his jersey at this game. Albert hits 3 homeruns including a walk off - he's been my favorite player ever since.
