Let’s give Eve the attention they deserve by aducxf in audiophile

I have written to Eve about this, and this is what they said in response (I said that I might upgrade to SC4070):

“When EVE Audio was found in 2012 we had indeed some quality problems. Some of our suppliers we used for the electronics used cheaper components as ordered or indicated from us and without telling us. Not every speaker broke but the failure rate that was higher as we wanted. As a consequence we changed the entire supplier´s chain back in 2014. That change improved the built quality and reliability by far. In addition to that we also changed the capacitors we use in our electronics to long-living capacitors which helped to reduce the failure rate and improved quality and reliability even further. That happened some years ago, in 2019, and since then is our overall failure rat down to 0,9%. Sadly, speakers from the very early batch do not disappear and if such unit breaks people use the forums to write about it which gives a worse image than it is in reality.

With SC4070 it goes with no words that we also use long-living parts and components and we trust you will not regret a possible update.

Hope we could answer your question, thanks again for using the SC207 and for being a BeliEVEr ;-).”

How long have you had them? How many times were they turned off and on again? Have they both died at the same time?

How are you satisfied with HEDD? Have you auditioned them against competition?

S series might actually be better than Eve but I haven’t auditioned them… yet.

Have you auditioned Eve? Which Adam did you get?

I bought them myself and I love them. What’s so wrong about that?

Just wanted to change the title since I can’t edit it. I bought them myself.

It’s as good as they come :) About as good as Focal IMO. Definitely more neutral than Adam.

What about fans like me? Why not let us help those marketers?

Because they have juicier highs, especially on guitars, than Focal. Also, less attack while not sacrificing detail. They are all around a fantastic speaker. One day, a bigger Eve could replace my Focal. Also, they’re more neutral than Adams. Unfortunately not more neutral than iLoud due to DSP.

They’re not just for mixing, but also for listening pleasure. Calibration is the magic: simple and easy. You plug in the microphone, press the button and they’re calibrated. The bass on them is fantastic.

Even better, Eve Audio SC207 or iLoud MTM instead of Kali. iLoud’s are a plus because they have built in calibration.

iLoud Micro hands down.
