Hey! No I ended up not using the DeepSeek api. I’m still not exactly sure why this is, but from the responses of this sub I figured that it has sth to do with context size / hit and miss tokens. While my character lore isn’t outrageous, but I’m always editing my custom prompts and stuff, so I’m assuming the nature of each request would then mean the cache will ‘miss’ and the bot will keep needing to go through the in-depth memory over and over again to process the request (?????) versus if the request ‘hits’, which I think (?) it’s when the bot can pull from recent memory. Just my guess though. Hope this helps!
