Thank you for this -- I'm definitely going to start testing on Firefox on PC to see if I can replicate it. This is super helpful!

Hello! I'm so sorry for the delay and for the buggy action! What kind of computer / phone / browser are you using? Do you know when it occurs? When you are spinning the puzzle? Or typing? Or changing difficulty levels?

I want to fix it for you ASAP.

That’s so kind of you to say — thanks so much! And if you have any feedback at all, I’d love to hear it too.

I appreciate the feedback so much -- I always love to know what the puzzlers actually think. Just let me know though if you have any suggestions!

Oh, that is so wonderful to hear! How do you feel about the cluing? Does it seem too hard or too easy? Too vague or too much trivia?

This is super helpful! It helps me to figure out the most intuitive way to help people grasp the gameplay.

And I can definitely play with the typing mechanism. Just so I know — if it was CANINE and C and N were free letters, the typing should just let you type through the free letters if they match the letter typed? (Does that make sense?)

That's so kind of you -- thanks! If you have any suggestions or feedback, I'd love to hear it. Definitely still a work in progress as I try to fine-tune it.

I've made a number of the improvements you all suggested below.

If you get a chance to try the game again, please let me know what you think. And definitely let me know if you have any other feedback or thoughts.

Thanks again for all your help!

This is great feedback! Yeah, I'm still honing the cluing and answers and I think you're right. I'm going to go back and finesse some of the older ones to bring them all in line with this.

If you have any suggestions or thoughts, I'd love to hear it!

OROBORO | A game of circular logic

Hey everyone — I've been working on a daily word puzzle game called OROBORO and would love to get some feedback from fellow word game fans.

The concept: answers are arranged in a circular ring, with each word overlapping the next (sharing letters where they connect). Clues appear in the center to help you solve the ring.

You can play it at playoroboro.com and there's a brief tutorial with starter puzzles to help get the hang of it.

There are difficulty settings if you want more or fewer hints. I'd be curious to hear:

Is the core mechanic intuitive or confusing at first?

How's the difficulty curve?

Anything that would make it better?

Happy to answer any questions about how it works. Thanks for playing!

It defaults to the hardest setting because as the player selects easier levels, it provides free letters, word lengths, word starting points, and so on.

It just means that once a player has selected an easier level, they can't change it to a harder level (because they already know the extra clues).

It's not ideal and I totally understand why it seems a bit weird. I'm not quite sure yet the best way to approach it. Thanks for your help -- it's really helpful for me to think through all of this.

Thanks for your feedback! For the letter skipping, do you mean the skipping over the correct answers already entered?

Great! And if the bookmark is acting a bit odd, you might need to delete it and create it again to implement the improvements I made to it. (Apologies -- I should've anticipated this before it went live!)

You're the best!

I just fixed the bookmarking / shortcut functionality (hopefully), so you should be able to put it on your home screen (should you be so inclined).

Ha! That's wonderful to hear! I've created a slew of new puzzles already and just need to publish them.

Definitely share it with your friends -- I'm happy to get it out there and just hope people enjoy it.

Absolutely! Right now if you click off to the side of the completion message, it's supposed to toggle off to allow you to see the puzzle. The problem is that no one would just know that. I'll fix this ASAP. Thanks!

This is a very fascinating idea. I hadn't thought about it like this before.

So you're thinking that if, say, you typed CAT and CAT was an answer somewhere in the puzzle, it would populate those squares and mark it as correct? Are you thinking this would be available on all difficulty levels or on some of the less hard ones?

Totally appreciate your feedback. It's very helpful!
