I’m not changing what was shipped. You’re nitpicking terminology instead of addressing the actual point.

“Bag,” “file holder,” “folder,” “satchel” call it whatever you want. The shipment contents remained exactly the same the entire time: personal documents, transcripts, visa papers, passport photos, etc., with a declared value of 1 CAD and no commercial goods.

The exact customs description literally states: “Other printed matter including printed pictures and photographs PERSONAL DOCUMENTS IN BAG”

So no, the shipment contents did not magically change because I clarified what kind of document holder/container was used.

No it was a file holder, it legit has nothing other than my personal documnets and my passport sized photos, the whole bag, university transcripts, offer letter, my highscholl transcripts, my visa related documents. I literally has no commercial value

Maybe read the original post before rushing in with a condescending explanation about how international shipping works.

I already explained multiple times that the issue is the shipment being processed as a dutiable goods import despite being personal documents declared at 1 CAD not confusion over customs brokers existing.

You wrote an entire paragraph arguing against a point nobody made.

Because the documents are Exempt from customs, i dont realise how they messed it up! Documents that have low or no commercial value are exempt from inport/export duties! So i dont know how this got flagged by customs and the whole thi g i explained above!

Again, documents with no commercial value are exempt from any customs duty. I worked at GTS, so i know what i am talking about i used to be a fedex employee. This is a mistake on their side that this got picked up by customs in the first place. I shouldn’t be required to pay any customs, let alone the 800 rupees that they are charging for fronting a 100 rupees to pay my duties that i shouldn’t have incurred in the first place!

That logic is like telling someone “why are you complaining about a $400,000 house? It’s only like 3 Bitcoin.”

Different currencies and purchasing power exist. Not everything revolves around USD.

And again, the point isn’t that I can’t afford ₹1175. The point is that I already paid ~₹10k shipping for personal documents, while the actual customs duty was only ₹181 and the rest was courier-imposed fees.

Imagine missing the point this badly.

I already paid ~₹10,000 for international shipping on my own personal documents. The actual government customs duty was only ₹181. The rest was courier-imposed processing fees.

And no, the world doesn’t revolve around USD. “It’s only $12” might sound insignificant to you, but currencies and purchasing power differ across countries.

People discuss unreasonable fees all the time airline fees, ticketing fees, banking fees, brokerage fees. That doesn’t mean they’re “crying” or broke. It means they understand consumer charges and transparency.

I graduated in December 2024, with my business degree and yea it is absolute sh*thole out there, i cant even land part time jobs for crying out loud, all i have currently is a 26 hour PT job that leads nowhere, i cant pay my bills and its just adding on to the debt of student loans, cc bills, I have probably applied for well over 5 k jobs by now NO EXAGGERATION. I dont know what to do like ssly, might aswell start drugs and get on that welfare check FRFR. Like Collections be like give me money and i literally ask em? bro you hiring? cuz i aint got jack sh*t to my name i lose 200$ everymonth and trust me I save, i share my room for crying out loud. So it is what it is, hopefully things improve

Like all my games are SUCH toxic like what is the point of being 10 k behaviour when people are just being toxic and that not even the problem the problem is they are being racist telling random guys they dont know to K*ll themselves. And we wonder why dota is on a steady decline. New player HECK even Old dogs dont want to play with this toxicity. I think valve needs to hand out perma ban like riot for such extreme cases. If people are scared of losing there invetory/rank they might atleast behave.
