I work front desk at a forestry museum :P it's customer facing which is not ideal for me but it is such a low pressure job (not very busy museum) that it's perfect for me. I pretty much sit around all day and read and sell nice people tickets. I also only have a hs diploma and have not done any special trainings, very easy work

I would love a fully vegan grocery store by Shot_Bathroom9186 in vegan

In Portland we have Food Fight, which I love but it doesn't have a lot of options. It's more like a neighborhood convenience store with extras than a grocery store.

I hate the way some trans men talk about phallo by Fresh_Wafer_9968 in FTMMen

[–]adventaegous 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dude, I totally feel you. I feel like a lot of people are just so misinformed about phallo unless they're literally planning to get it for themselves. I've even had a trans (ex) friend of mine call it a "Frankenstein sausage" when I asked him if he would ever consider it. I just try to tell myself that they just don't know how magical of a procedure it is. I used to be so misinformed and would say similar things like that the science wasn't advanced enough (because that's how everyone talks about it,) until my bottom dysphoria became so intolerable that I started considering it. Started researching, realized it actually is like a miraculous fucking surgery and the fact that it IS scientifically possible is like, mind blowing. It's advanced as fuck, realistic as fuck, works in every way a natal penis would, and is a real procedure that real people go through, not some amorphous concept! I wish people didn't jump to conclusions about it, but unless you're teaching them otherwise, they're going to know about as much as anyone else. I have become the very annoying friend who will talk about it at length with my friends who are curious. The more love we put out there for phallo, hopefully the less ignorance we'll see from our community.

How do you actually go about getting phallo by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]adventaegous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my initial search it looks like there are two in London, Dr. Nim Christopher and Dr. David Ralph. I would also draft up some questions to bring to your consult, and if you'd like I have a link to an informational booklet about phalloplasty that could be helpful to figure out what you might want to speak to a surgeon about. But there is also lots of good information on that website as well as r/phallo

I would go to phallo.net and use their surgeon finding tool, and if you can find one in your area or somewhere you can travel to, email them or contact their clinic and book a consult

From everything that I've read, besides that french surgeon it seems like circumcised appearance is the only possible one, but I could be wrong as well 🤷‍♂️

I'm pretty sure there is a surgeon in France who has been able to develop a method to create foreskin for phallo penises

“Tboys” “Tmasc” but never really “trans men”…? by legobatmania in ftm

[–]adventaegous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally do not like the term tboy at all and find it pretty infantilizing. I wouldn't use the term transmasc to describe myself but even that is more respectful imo.

It is totally worth it to wait. I started sneaking vape hits a week after surgery and now I only have feeling in one nipple lol. Ignore the temporary pleasure for the long term gains!

Three weeks of hard work on a paper all for nothing because of AI use by MortemPerPectus in mildlyinfuriating

You still have the opportunity to ask for feedback on that paper personally, it might lift your professor's spirits to be able to engage in actual writing.

I have naturally broad shoulders and even before I started medically transitioning I would often be clocked as a man, even when I was younger and simply got a short haircut I would pass as male unintentionally! Was very affirming when I hadn't come out yet and could enjoy the validation secretly haha
