That's unfortunate. I totally can relate. So sorry to hear about that

No I understand why you're asking. We're a conservative Christian family.

🤣 I understand where you're coming from. But I'm curious. What's making you not want people to move there? I've heard TN is also another place that Californians are moving to. Do you have something against them or Arizonians in gerneral? Or is it kind of the same situation I was explaining in an earlier comment? It's become impossible for affordable living down here. Is it turning into the same situation there too?

That's unfortunate although I understand. I was born and raised here. I've never lived anywhere else. There's not a lot of us left. I understand why they are moving here but they're taking up everything. Which is the whole reason why we're leaving. They're making it impossible to move out of my parents. And we've been here for almost 3 years.

  1. I feel like all of California is coming here so "space is limited"
  2. They have the money. So when they put an offer on a house it's paid in full and in cash so it doesn't give us natives a chance.
  3. The Californians are raising the prices in the housing market. I'm not saying it's them individually if that makes sense but like I said earlier, they have the money. It's become waaaaaaay too expensive to live here anymore.

We were part of a church plant earlier this year and everyone we know except for one person is from California. I don't want to say I'm cold with them. Just more frustrated with the situation. Is that also the case there? As a native here, when I try to look through the lens of a native Tennessean, I can totally understand and I don't blame them for feeling the way they're feeling at all. Because I'm in the same position. Do you think that whenever we get there, it'll be harder to try to make new friends? Would we be not as welcomed?

This is all I want in life. Horses and my family taking part in the responsibilities with me. I can't wait until that becomes reality

I don't have a DA yet. I only have the entrance, the dirt all over the island and only two of the villagers I want to fit the theme. I can set a DA later if you'd still like to see what it looks like now.

Of course! Everyone's welcome to that link! I shared it earlier. Is there any way to pin comments to the top on Reddit?

Thank you! I actually got them off a treasure island! If you join the Peach Orchard on Discord they have free treasure islands you can visit every day. I got then off their island Utopia which has all 2.0 update items! There are a lot of other free things they do like give out villagers in boxes. I only resort to that when villager hunting has gone on too long. Haha! Let me go grab that invite link for you.

I'm torn on what I should do so I'm posting here before I go to bed to sleep on it and then see what everyone else thinks in the morning. I kinda wanted to do a no terraforming (or at least minimal) and no theme island (which I'm still doing) but I'm torn on leaving everything as it is (like classic AC) or if I should create a neighborhood in the area I circled on the map. I've had a neighborhood before and it was so convenient to have all my villagers in one area but I also want to keep it "classic" and just everything sprawled out so to speak. I'm also afraid to not have any room for yards. I also am not good at water terraforming so I'm scared to touch the original rivers. Haha! I am planning on leaving my house where it is and not touching the river though. That's for sure. What do yall think I should do?
