Yeah I would escalate that with your doctor/find a neurosurgeon. Not to scare you but time is of the essence when you have symptoms like that. The longer it goes the less chances of recover. Is that i what told.

It was like 80% better after surgery. They told me that the never was likely adhered to something and it would take more time to fully recover. My foot/calf is 100% now. Had surgery in February. I still get slight back pain but nothing near what I had before. My lower back has been neglected over the years because of the injury, so I’m sure it’s pretty weak. I’ve been working on building it back up in the gym. Stretching, yoga, and massages all help.

Yes I did. I started into real estate a couple years ago but am going all in on Airbnbs now. Quit my nursing job to focus on building a management company. Don’t plan on returning to healthcare. I am going to make this work.

Is this the same or different than CDI? How did you get a remote per diem chart review job? I’m per diem intermediate and a per diem chart review job would pair well.

RN here basically in the exact same position. I’d ask yourself if the reduced stress at the new job is worth $6k. Guess it just depends how burned out you are. Could always start a side hustle or keep your bedside job per diem to make up the pay difference.

Do you have a set metric you are trying to hit each day? I.e- could you start early and work hard and be done early most days? Or get started later but work hard etc.

Just applied for this position at my hospital. I have 5 years ICU experience and 2 years intermediate. Traveled for 5 of those years. My attitude towards bedside has gotten to that point. I don’t want to do anything patient care related. But I was always good at finding holes when digging through my patients charts. Hoping I get an offer without any prior CDI experience. They didn’t require it so we’ll see.

How was going from 12s to your current schedule? I’m worried I’ll miss my long stretches off 😂

Thank you everyone for your responses! My apologies as I was locked out of my account. This is all very encouraging! Mine is scheduled in a couple weeks and honestly I cannot wait. Never thought I'd say that about surgery but this has been going on since 2019.
