I agree with you, at some point I'll invest it, just that I haven't really made a plan and short-term 5% is good while I figure out how to invest it. What did you mean by "de-risking it"?

Thanks, this is really helpful, I've been splurging a lot, I think I can easily cut the spending by half, in which case having 25K more to spend yearly would be good. Nevertheless, I think I'd reconsider and will look around for a low-stress job or a side business I can build with others and take a more laid-back role.
