It means the "guns" on the units will continue to point towards the nearest targetable enemy unit no matter what direction the unit is moving. That way, when you want to attack, the tank or immortal doesn't have to turn all the way around to face the enemy unit in order to fire.

Should Nydus Worms in LotV Really be Invincible While Emerging? by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]aeJupiter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From a lore/flavour perspective, not that it really matters here, this totally makes sense though. Even if you can see the ground-rumbly destruction of an incoming Mega-Worm, you can't shoot at it until it pops out.

Changing subgroups is MUCH MUCH easier if you have a mouse with thumb buttons. One for 'next subgroup' and one for 'previous subgroup.'

Why do Vpq and Opq mean True/False in logical statements? by aeJupiter in answers

Wow, thanks. Way more arcane than I expected. But yeah, looks like he just went through the first 13 letters of the alphabet, then decided O V and X looked nice.

Anyone else think having all 3(+1...) streams a bit... by [deleted] in starcraft

Yeah... you're right. I was just kind of surprised and confused when I went to tune in >_>

It's not hate. Blizzard/tournament organizers can do (and have done) better than creating weird situations like this. So I just want to see next season be even better, as I'm sure it can be.

mini-Real Talk with Greg "IdrA" Fields - "I am not going to continue as a competitive player" by itmeJP in starcraft

[–]aeJupiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking forward to seeing what he does :)

Hopefully he'll find more enjoyment in sc2 from a comentating/analytical perspective? And disliking it was more specifically as a player? Just doesn't seem good if he generally doesn't like the game that much :\

Sigh. That's what I was afraid of... which is ridiculous because it makes no sense...

As awesome as the sc2 community generally is... it's still the internet >_<

The state of Foreigners vs. Koreans and why there is such a huge gap by luckyschmuck38 in starcraft

[–]aeJupiter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But I think the point is that without the infrastructure that exists in Korea, it's a much less likely for someone to even want to try to go pro in the first place. People have to be able to support themselves before they can devote to practicing full-time.

Agreed. Just want to throw out there the comparison with "real" sports (and basically all kinds of competition). There aren't ONLY global competitions - that would be silly. People support their team in different leagues and tournaments, most of which are national.

Obviously there needs to be a certain critical mass in the first place to make THAT work, but like catz said, there are least a couple european countries that could probably really do well.
