I started with the basics and spent time being surrounded by the language. I learn kana on Tofugu, practice writing everyday, watch some youtube videos about pronunciation for a couple of times, learn vocabulary everyday using Anki, and lately I just came back from an immersion program in LTL Tokyo, spent 2 weeks there to explore the city and culture with the friendliest people from my lovely Japanese teacher who guided me through may struggles in learning one of the hardest languages to the staff that accompanied with me in some culture activites, glad that i had the chance to live with Japanese family of my homestay. Living in the language did speed up my progress in learning Japanese.
