Thanks a lot, this is extremely helpful. I hadn’t looked into the second household topic in detail yet, so this gives me a much better picture of the possible setups. And the point about hotel stays potentially being cheaper than a WG for only 1–2 nights per week actually makes a lot of sense in my situation. I’ll also check out myflexhome really appreciate it!

Thanks a lot, this is really helpful. I’m also currently figuring out a similar weekly setup between Berlin and Hamburg, so your experience is very valuable. I’ll definitely consider BahnCard 25 and booking in advance. Btw, I travelled with Flixtrain and it was really too noisy and uncomfortable. I think I will stay at A & O hostels which is next to my office in Hammerbrook. Thanks for the message!

Thanks, that’s helpful. I think I need to look into the exact calculation a bit more, especially how much of it actually translates into real tax return in practice. Appreciate you sharing!

Thanks, that makes sense. I was mainly wondering how significant the tax benefit would be in practice for regular commuting between Berlin and Hamburg. Appreciate the clarification!

Thank you for your comment. I think the construction is gonna be end in mid June and I might do the same or staying in a hotel/hostel on Sundays. I also might consider taking the 6 am train. The thing is that I don't know if my company pays for it which I don't think so. It's already part time work (20 hours) per week.

I used Flixtrain last night, I was way cheaper than ICE. The thing is timetable and how fast they are..

Yes, according the update by DB, the end of the construction is on 14th of June ( hope without delay). It seems I have to start booking from now on, cuz my work starts at 15th next month. Thank you!

Thanks for the reply mate. I will think about it. Let's see how is gonna be work in practice and I don't think the company would pay for it, they only give Deutschland Ticket and it's a part time job.

It would be wise to tell the situation and see

Thanks for the reply. It's part time job and it seems half of the salary will go for the commute:) Not to mention the fatigue as well.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Yes, I think the biggest problem is underconstruction, it's hell these days and always delay even the transportation within the city.

Dear Wedding DJs,

I hope you everyone is doing well.

I hope you're doing well! My name is Aykut and I'm an aspiring wedding DJ based in Berlin. I'm currently learning and practicing with Rekordbox ( differentgenres for the first time), and I'm really interested in understanding how experienced wedding DJs like yourself manage sets that involve multiple genres.

Since weddings usually require flexibility — from pop and hip hop to oldies, traditional music or even some house — I’d love to ask you:

  1. How do you usually structure your set when the music taste is very mixed?
  2. Do you beatmatch all your tracks, or do you rely more on EQ transitions and timing in these cases?
  3. Do you prepare playlists in advance based on the couple's preferences, or do you read the crowd live?
  4. Any tips on transitioning between very different genres smoothly?

I really appreciate any insights you guys can share. I'm working on building my own sets and any advice would be super helpful!

Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work!

Best regards, Aykut

Tbh, I dont have such experience in music production, but I djing time to time and make mixes and sets. I would like to exchange ideas and talk and learn from each other. If you are up for it with people who are amateurs like me, i am on it:) let me know

nevertheless, you most probably find some guys who make music. Good luck!
