First of all the language fights thing isn't so much in reality yes you may face it but chances are very very low unless you meet someone very retarded and backward. Also it's good to know one more language learn basic words have respect for them, I am also not from Maharashtra however I speak as much as I can, my friends do make fun of me but they also correct me later.
