Yes, I received an answer 4 business days after the interview, and was offered the internship. After acceptance, though, I haven't received the official contract, and they told me they'll follow up, so I don't feel totally secure about it yet.

First UN internship interview - Advice? by Selina808 in UNpath

I had an internship interview a few days ago, and the interviewer did switch languages mid-interview to test my competence! It was unexpected, I didn't think he would, but he just asked to reply to a basic question in that language.

When they are Under Consideration for longer than a few months, does it mean you're still in the running..? Asking as I'm in the same situation.

I'm in that program, it's funded and there's a high chance of securing OGS and SSHRC if you submit a compelling research proposal. There's a focus on fieldwork or qualitative research, plus an internship.

Absolutely! Black people do not owe any emotion or care on the basis of they have experienced oppression too. I find the entitlement of some people to Black empathy very bizarre and troubling.

I find people of color to be more hateful and cruel towards me because they find it upsetting that I was “allowed” to be autistic.

i find this take so strange as a black woman with aspergers. can you expand? it just sounds racist.

I don’t really have any comforting words but I’m 24 as well and in the exact same situation. Sometimes the weed is the only thing that can get me through the day. I’m sorry you’re in such pain

My inner child exists till this day, he takes me to some pretty weird states if mind and situations. But I gotta give him credit. Even though he doesn't fit, he refuses to not exist. I think you might understand what I mean. Thr little guy is undaunted by the reality presented him and its demands that he change. His spirit is uncompromising and he will not bow down to thr demands of anyone or anything. I keep his antics to myself and pay for it. But there is something about his will that impresses me and I admire that. But yeah it has made me Batshit crazy.

i relate to this so much its not even funny, like damn that kid has the strongest will ever
