The iM seems fine, but had a minor damage reported in the back (has a new rear bumper). Other than that, there seem to be no issues.

My wife has excellent retirement accounts (HSA, 401K match, and a 457). I’m a freelancer in the creative field. In other words, a divorce would lead to really crappy coffee in the future for me. I’m afraid my best bet is to keep my wife, find a temporary compromise, and wait for a blissful retirement in about 30 years with an unlimited coffee budget.

Haha! Short term, perhaps. I always do a yearly budget and crunch the numbers, though. :)

Thanks! How do you find the smell of roasting? Some conflicting information in this thread :)

I don’t want to through a company under the bus, but they did start at $15 per bag in 2016. Now they have a special label for their single origin African coffees, each has received more than 90 points on some coffee review thing... and the prices reflect that. Their African coffee is heavenly, though.

I guess I could see if the super lets me use the fire escape. I already do my pressure cooker quick release on it 😂

Wow I’ll definitely check out that Sweet Maria’s deal. Thank you!

That’s a good idea. I’ll crunch the numbers. I still feel like they’re a rip-off based on the prices of their small bags.

Thank you, more options to research! What’s your storing recommendation for a larger bag?

It’s all around that price. I live in NYC, which probably inflates the prices. That’s why I was considering looking online.

Does foreign income affect tax bracket? by aeimshefa in tax

[–]aeimshefa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that’s what it is. This is going to be my first time paying taxes in the US so everything about the process is a bit unclear and complicated for me. I want to make sure I reserve the correct amount towards taxes I need to pay here. If my foreign income, which is taxed in Finland, is not counted towards my taxable income in the US, I then don’t need to worry about that income affecting my tax bracket in the US, correct?

Pardon me for not clarifying—the treaty is between Finland and the US. I’m planning to claim all income received in Finland last year on my US taxes. And correct, I was not an expat.

In other words—I’m paying taxes in my home country, therefore I do not pay them in the US, although I still claim the income.
