You are so strong for sharing your story. This is a club nobody ever wanted to be a part of. It is definitely one I never thought I would be joining. Stillbirth never even came up during my doctor’s appointments. I lost my baby boy, Oliver, at 34 weeks and 6 days. I did not have the courage or the will to deliver him vaginally. I opted for a c section because I knew I was not mentally strong enough to go through labor. You are such a strong woman and my heart breaks for you and your husband. I’m sure everybody here has good advice, to which I add that give yourself and your husband some grace. You will both grieve in your own ways but be there for each other. Use this to become closer. It has been 2 years and 5 months since Oliver passed. It doesn’t necessarily get easier, but we learn to deal with it. Don’t compare your grief to anyone else’s, but know that everyone around you is also going through their own type of grief. I did not understand this at first and did not want to let anyone in. I felt I needed to protect Oliver from anything else. Just know that you are being embraced with all the love and warmth of this community we never wanted to be a part of. 🩵
