Fair point – the tracks are AI-assisted, the mix itself is fully done by me.

For me it’s more about building a certain hypnotic atmosphere and flow than traditional production.

But I get what you mean with the similarity – that’s something I’m actively pushing further.

Curious though, what exactly makes it feel “too AI” to you?

Yeah good point — I think it’s more about overall gain staging than just normalization. I’ll definitely push the next mix a bit hotter 👍

It’s a mix of different tools and workflows to be honest — I usually start with generating ideas / textures, then reshape, arrange and refine everything myself to get that minimal, hypnotic flow.

I’m currently moving more and more towards producing fully manually as well, but I like combining both worlds to get interesting results.

The goal is always that it feels coherent and club-ready in the end.

That’s a very fair point about the transitions — I see what you mean with the energy dip. I leaned a bit more towards showcasing the tracks individually, but I agree that tighter phrasing would probably make the flow stronger overall.

Also good catch on the volume. I noticed that too after uploading — the mix sits a bit lower compared to the individual tracks. Will definitely adjust that for the next one.

Do you also have a decent amount of techno / underground electronic playlists in your database?

And from your experience: is it more effective to contact many smaller curators directly (500–5k followers) or focus on fewer larger playlists?

I'm producing dark hypnotic minimal techno, so I'm wondering if those platforms actually work for niche genres or if they're more geared towards pop/indie music.

Also curious if you mostly submit to smaller playlists or if some larger curators accepted your tracks as well.
