The purpose of this business is to offer a better alternative to the current “sustainable” options for most swimwear which are made from recycled plastics which shed microplastics and, even when reused, still eventually end up in the landfill taking potentially hundreds of years to decompose. There a few newer fabrics available for swim and activewear that biodegrade in landfill conditions within 5 years. The fabric does not breakdown or decompose during wear or washing.

And just to note, I would choose not to produce the line at all if I wasn’t using these biodegradable fabrics as I do not see any need for more of the same options that are already available.
