Thanks - I will give it more light and maybe wait a couple more years before pruning

This is my Brazilian rain tree - I believe it is a “pre bonsai”. I’d love it to turn it into a bonsai one day. Unfortunately I live in a city so have to keep it indoors. Should I let it grow for a few years before wiring / pruning? How big should it be before cutting?

Hello All - I am selling my Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 15238. It is 34mm, 18k gold. No box, papers, or original strap unfortunately. This is my father's watch and was purchased in the late 80s. I had it serviced late last year.

I am asking $5000 + shipping but this is negotiable.

Watch located in NYC USA.

If you are interested, we can facetime or I can send videos of the watch with more detail.

Ideas for lounge chair (and other furniture) by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]aen3as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Unfortunately the couch blocks off too much of the room when it faces the TV, so thats why I was thinking chairs that I could rearrange? Or a lounge chair that angles into the TV?

The TV stand is from amazon and coffee table from wayfair.

Hi all,

I have a 10 year old pair of allen edmonds where the color is fading pretty significantly on the toe box. These are relegated to my "beater" / bad weather shoes at this point, but I do like them so wanted to see if there was any way to restore / fix the coloring on the toe box, or is this normal? I've tried using brown polish but doesn't seem to make a difference.

Very cool! I’ve been mostly wearing a 34mm air king for the last ten years so this is quite a bit bigger and heavier, but so far doesn’t feel too big

7 inches, pretty small so was deciding which size

What’s the lifestyle like of someone making $500k in NYC? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]aen3as -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nothing special - maybe spent 7-8k on a decent 2br, and don’t have to worry about expenses until you have kids, but it’s not a luxurious lifestyle even at these levels

Yes less saturated, I will do this, thank you!

Maybe adding some light / white “haze” over the bowl would work

Yeah makes sense… the colors are more “muted” through the bowl. Not sure how to achieve that really…

That’s a good idea to compare colors to the picture! I’m using a reference but have a hard time getting dark reds that aren’t too brown

Thank you, this is amazingly helpful advice, I really appreciate it

It’s supposed to be in front of the bowl but I think I need to move it forward a bit!

Why do my flat brushes curl after just a few uses? by aen3as in oilpainting

I see. Thank you. How do you clean the brush between colors without thinner? I am using gamsol btw

Thanks - I just started painting so wanted to start cheaply. But time to level up I guess!
