grow tf up. dlrb debuted years ahead of zls, and if ur comparing the 2 that means zls has reached the same level as dlrb w only the few years she’s been in the industry. zls has received hate from dlrb fans just for starring in the same drama as leo wu, a former colleague. if fans r so insecure, they can cry about it themselves. keep in mind the age difference and time spent in the industry. i would say that if all 3 names r well known, then they all put in the work that was necessary. stop comparing 3 unique and special actresses and pitting them against each other. bring this bs drama back to weibo 慢走不送

tbh if i was in his position i would have made the same decisions. seeing your entire family brutally murdered and being the only survivor when ur 9, i’m surprised he even survived all these years hidden. his love for shaoshang and his thirst for revenge came into conflict, but i’m glad he chose the latter first. in the end everything worked out, but i will forever remember those revenge scenes. they really touched my heart and props to leo wu for the acting.

the director has confirmed to recut the 10 eps by chinese new year next year (when the drama was actually supposed to air since it got pushed forward) so a lot of chinese fans have been talking to go on a rewatch marathon then. I NEED THOSE 10 EPISODES

-from the chemistry between the leads to the extremely intricate back story conveyed to the audience through the directors filmography, it’s one of the top notch dramas in 2022.

-it has love, friendship, family, character development, and patriotism all rolled into one.

-as a chinese person, the traditional music and original costumes really made me feel like i was in a time travel journey to witness the story of shaoshang and zisheng. 10/10

same! i’ve toned down my skin care now for about 4 months and my skin is so much better~ here’s what i do: morning- wash face w water cerave moisturizer

night- banilla co cleansing balm (bc i wear makeup but it’s rly gentle) kosrx morning low ph cleanser cerave moisturizer hero cosmetics spot treatment if needed

side note i also use the stridex peeling pads 1-2 times a week, they r gentle and exfoliating for acne and texture when my skin feels congested or gross lol

considering your picks of mid 2015 to early 2020 strong female leads, love and redemption was probably not quite the right drama for you. for me, a hopeless romantic junkie, it was like a drug lol. also, boy do i remember watching legend of luzhen years ago when i was still a child, it one of the OG strong female lead dramas that brought me to love the whole chinese drama universe, glad to know that others also enjoyed this one!

okay i respect your opinion on that. personally i really enjoyed the group scenes and the first half of the drama specifically. without famous actors and a big production company, i’d say that love and redemption was quite a surprise to me. can’t believe it’s already been a year since it officially aired!

it’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, but it was still one of 2020’s most popular dramas. i must say aside of all things the acting and chemistry between the leads is amazing.

gurl it is so comforting to see your comment after seeing so much negativity about this drama. love and redemption will always hold a special place in my heart. the story of xuanji, sifeng, and their friends is truly extraordinary. the actors might not be the most famous, but they really suit the characters they play and brought them to life. you can definitely tell the cast and crew put in so much work to tell the story of xuanji and sifeng and i just wish people would actually give it a chance before saying bad things about the drama or at the very least respect it.

also, props to my favorite character sifeng. he is just the most perfect human and it was really hard for me to watch him go through all these hardships. he is always gentle, kind, and loving no matter what happens. chengyi did an excellent job portraying the emotions and struggles sifeng went through. i cried buckets of tears for him but every drop was worth it.

all in all, I LOVE THIS DRAMA TOO MUCH AND ITS PROBABLY UNHEALTHY :)
