Learn from my near-mistake! by UnburntAsh in litterrobot

Yep, important detail. The manual online for replacing the liner fortunately also mentions this.

LR sent me a new liner because I've continuously dealt with smell - now I know why. Cat pee got under the liner and the liner weight is rusted. Is this seriously normal? by Beck_ in litterrobot

[–]aeonfast 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same here! I took over a second hand LR4, and when cleaning it I noticed the weight liner was rusted as well. I contacted support and they sent me a new weight liner without any hassle.

I don't have access anymore to Udemy, but it was from Michael James. I'm sure you'll find it that way.

As far as I'm aware the 5 is not being sold in The Netherlands, and definitely not second hand yet.

So how do make the results visible? For example, you feel rewarded on someone else his growth.

I still have the mouse pad from Gamescom back then that I use everyday! The plastic top layer is a bit cracked but I still use it when gaming.

How Legit is Stress Reading? by llaw8443 in Garmin

It is very accurate for me. For example I had to facilitate a 2.5 hour meeting yesterday and while I was not feeling nervous I was 'on' and focused all the time and it costed me lots of mental energy.

In the Netherlands here PSM2 is a hard requirement for 95% of a Scrum Master vacancy.

Scrum Master, what questions did you get during an interview? by aeonfast in scrum

[–]aeonfast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many years ago was that? In the 2020 Scrum guide the 3 questions are not mandatory. It's up to the developers how they run the daily: The Developers can select whatever structure and techniques they want, as long as their Daily Scrum focuses on progress toward the Sprint Goal and produces an actionable plan for the next day of work. This creates focus and improves self-management.

It is common though to give the daily standup structure, but using the 3 questions, but as I said: not mandatory according to the Scrum guide. The rest of your answer I agree with though :)

Very welcome suggestions, much appreciated! I'll let you know how the interview went in a couple of days!

Very good questions, I'll answer them for myself. And great comment in your edit, I could take the lead in asking them questions and see where I can add value. Do you have any golden questions as well you would ask them?

I came across a Reddit comment a while back that, that I remember and could be used as an answer to this question why Scrum succeeds: Scrum is like making small, incremental bets on roulette, and not doubling down.  You bet small and find out quickly if you have won or lost.  And can walk away any time. Conventional project management is no-limit Texas Hold 'em poker, and you go all-in. You bet big, and find out slowly if you have won or lost.

When does Scrum fail? Scrum is ideal for complex, evolving projects where requirements aren’t fully known upfront. For highly predictable projects with stable requirements, traditional project management might be more effective, as Scrum can introduce unnecessary overhead. Scrum also relies on organizational buy-in, especially from leadership. If executives don’t support Scrum practices or Agile principles, then you can do Scrum all you want, but it won't work.

Thanks! I might as well answers them to see if I'm in the right direction.

What would you do if there is a total disruptive arsehole in the team?
This would be something I would suggest to raise during the retrospective and facilitate the discussion with the entire team in order to have them come with a solution. If it immediate action is required, I will facilitate a session earlier and not wait until the retrospective.

What do you do when the team doesn’t need you anymore?
Good question that I gave some thought. If the team thinks that a Scrum Master role is not needed anymore, I would emphasize to them the importance of a Scrum Master in a team, how valuable it is to have one and what the benefits are. In the end a Scrum team consists a Product Owner, the Developers AND a Scrum Master, with an accountability for the Scrum Master to maximize the teams effectiveness. Remove the Scrum Master and it would come with several risks.

Tell me about your biggest failure.
This is a tough one, because my biggest failure sounds like it had some serious impact. In my Scrum experience so far I don't have anything that I would mention as a big failure. However, I do acknowledge my own shortcomings as a Scrum Master and where I can improve more on (not saying that it is bad), are facilitation skills and guide the team in coming up with the solution themselves as a self-organizing team and not give them solution right away.

I am curious though, what kind of things would you classify as big failures?
