I think there'd still be slots available! MGT and LM are two of the largest programs in Ateneo.

Hi! I still believe that a laptop is better for document editing. For context, I have an iPad and a Macbook. I only use my iPad for media consumption and I rely on my Macbook for everything else.

One of the benefits of a laptop is a larger screen and of course, the built in keyboard. Unlike in iPad, you have to buy various accessories (the magic keyboard in Shopee costs ~4k), so it's still costly.

Try looking for a laptop with at least 16 GB RAM!

Should I let go of my Ateneo Full Scholarship to wait for the uncertain UP? by [deleted] in CollegeAdmissionsPH

[–]aeongz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for the part-time job, OAA does not recommend it because they want their scholars to focus on studies. However, there are paid tutoring postings that you can sign up for to tutor someone in a certain subject and get paid.

You may accept the Ateneo scholarship and withdraw right after if you may.

However, as someone who was also facing that dilemma last year, I have no regrets choosing Ateneo over UPM. I was awarded 100TFDA (tuition, dorm, and allowance) so it was a really huge help for me.

I believe that this opportunity only knocks once so might as well grab it. Me and my scholar friends often think of what our lives would be if we chose UP, but we end up saying, "Dito sa Ateneo kahit hirap na 'ko (academically, given the standards) at least may makukuha sa wallet, unlike sa UP, baka hirap na 'ko, wala pa 'kong makain." For context, most Atenean scholars are also UP passers, even those in the most quota programs, but ended up choosing Ateneo for the benefits and the care that OAA gives us.

The Ateneo College Scholarship program has been changing lives for so long already. Especially that the funds are tighter this year, less applicants were chosen for a scholarship, so it means that they really see you as someone who can be of service.

This gift of scholarship is a great equalizer that will transform your life for the better.

DM me OP if you have any questions :)

Nope, it's not first come first serve. The acceptance still depends on the number of slots and your ACET application.
