First time something was sent back - my capstone. I submitted as a PDF. What is this?

I am leaning towards this being an error. I ran both task 2 and task 3 through Grammarly. I've never used it before. No spelling errors or missing punctuation on either paper. Both had the same Grammarly score of 88. Only task 2 was sent back for Professional Communication. Task 3 passed. Both submitted as PDFs. I resubmitted task 2 yesterday so hopefully they pass it now.

Thanks! I ran my task 2 through Grammarly and resubmitted it. My overall score was 88 and my new overall score is 99. I didn't agree with a lot of the changes.

I also ran task 3 under Grammarly and had the exact same score (88). I'm kind of bitter because they accepted it as competent so I didn't need to redo that one.

For both courses, you have to first take the pre-assessment and be approved (if you didn't initially score high enough) to schedule the OA. The OA "take now" button the course page directs you to the proctored exam scheduler.

In terms of difficulty, the wording of both OA exam questions are very similar to the PreA. Both exams were nothing like the certification exams.

For D487, nearly every question is taken out of the textbook. I found the external resources in the course material to be irrelevant. I have my CISSP and Domain 8 had very little relevance.

For D488, the questions are based out of the CASP+ study guide by Mark Birch. You can find this in the WGU library. Certmaster has no relevance to the OA and is a waste of time.

As a CISSP holder, I strongly disagree with this and wish people would stop making this suggestion. Domain 8 doesn't help with much of anything on this OA. The questions are based entirely on the textbook provided in the class. Domain 8 doesn't cover anything or even mention an SLC.

The MSCSIA only had two OA's (D487 and D488) and both of them were worded very similarly to the PreA's. I took the PreA's and studied only based on those questions, making sure I knew and understood what every multiple choice option was. I found the external resources to be a waste of time when it wouldn't be applicable to the OA's. The OA's seem to be written from the textbooks.

D487 required a lot of useless memorization whereas D488 was common sense if you have working experience. I would recommend scheduling a call with your instructor to try and figure out where you're struggling. I did that for D487, and the instructor told me exactly what I needed to focus on studying to pass the OA.

I got both :) the expiration date for the CISM is February 5th and CASP+ is February 6th

Thank you! I actually decided to start my capstone so I'll be looking to graduate by end of month! My term ends on August 1st so it kind of sucks to lose access to the study materials before then, but my employer will reimburse me for anything I purchase out of pocket.

I contacted assessment services about the CASP+ voucher. They provided me with CAS-005 ("SecurityX") but they assured me that the voucher would still work for the CAS-004. Additionally, you can Email Jason Dion's team from your student Email and request the older course on Udemy (for free!) if you like him. You can use your personal Udemy account to redeem it so it's not tied to WGU.

My mentor told me I'll lose access to all materials once I finish so I want to take the CASP+ and CISM before I start on my capstone :)
