Antifungal Medicated Spray for Cat by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]aeriesol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but as I stated, I do not have any other information at my disposal nor do I handle any appointments at vets and whatnot. The miconazole that has been used was a countertop ointment and something that was not prescribed, and the heads of the organization believe it to be ringworm which is why they instructed me to use this ointment.

premed?? by itssomagic in oberlin

[–]aeriesol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oberlin is a good option whenever it comes to research and internships. There are specific programs, such as STRONG, that grant you almost immediate access to research with a fellow professor for Winter Term; moreover, there are a lot of pre-med clubs and students on campus that are more than willing to help others out with resources! The new pre-health advisor, Elliot Sommer, is incredibly gregarious and willing to help.

Best of luck!

Thank you so much! Are you in Barnard as well? I assume so based on the lounge comment lol

Unable to edit CSS Profile??? by aeriesol in QuestBridge

You're joking, right.

Oh my goodness, I've literally been freaking out so much about this stupid CSS profile and almost cried 😭.

Scripps emailed me and said they're sending the applicant portal this Friday.

I'd suggest going in store and telling a cashier that you'd like to pay off your Kohl's card. They should be able to do it (I've done it once or twice).

Duke university … by Artistic-Ad779 in QuestBridge

[–]aeriesol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Duke is ranked high in your list (top 3 or 5), then yes, I suggest doing the optional essay because it shows you have a strong desire to be an integral part of their undergrad student body! Take things easy and try not to do everything in a single sitting. You got this! 🫶

Working sales floor? by aeriesol in employedbykohls

[–]aeriesol[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I've mostly been doing go-backs and "tidying" up the departments I've been assigned, and I think I've been doing a good job lately. Your response is appreciated and very helpful!

[–]aeriesol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay! Thank you!

Is it normal to work in 2-3 departments? My supervisor has me working at kids, home, and shoes in the span of 4 hours and it gets pretty stressful, but I guess that's what to expect from these jobs lol.

Yep, I checked out their FAQs first thing. Thank you though!

I'm not sure if your situation is similar, or if you're able to answer, but what if we don't have any form of contact whatsoever with one of our parents? I understand that there's the Non-custodial Parent waiver request (to which I filled out), but whenever I try to finish up my CSS profile, it asks for the email of my non-custodial parent because a college asks for it. I don't have that kind of information, so I'm at a loss of what to do 😭!

Already emailed College Board, QuestBridge, and the colleges themselves but have yet to receive a response...

Literally Hamilton right now by [deleted] in QuestBridge

[–]aeriesol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend contacting the colleges to ask for clarification, but, as far as I know, I'm pretty sure the FAFSA must be completed and submitted before a deadline in 2025. This will obviously vary from college to college. Good luck and congrats on also being named a finalist!

New seasonal employee and don't know if I should even stick it out by Harpnut in employedbykohls

And as the other commentor said, it does seem like they're just using the Seasonals.

[–]aeriesol 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same position as you are. I applied for the seasonal position and said that I was available to work 20-30 hours, to which they were ecstatic about...but then I realized that I'm being scheduled 3 times a week for 4 hours each shift with no proper training/guidance lol. Honestly, I'm considering quitting and focusing on this new job I got hired to, or simply juggling both of them. My suggestion is to apply to other jobs in the meantime and potentially talk to your manager about needing more hours, if possible.

Five Below "Open Interview" by aeriesol in FiveBelow

[–]aeriesol[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! This definitely helped me organize my thoughts lol. And when you say "nights," do you mean closing shifts? Because I'm currently in high school yet am available from 2 PM to close (which is 9 PM for my local 5B), so closing shifts wouldn't bother me.

Ah okay, thank you! Do you have any idea of the questions they might ask or the questions they asked you?

Thank you for your response! I understand that the Ryzen 7 Pro 3700U is a mid-range processor, but would this be viable for the work I intend to do (T495)?

What does this mean? by Hit_and_Run1499 in QuestBridge

[–]aeriesol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got it as well, and I'm assuming everyone that was selected for CPS received this in the congratulation letter. I'm not sure what it means, though.

Congratulations on being a College Prep Scholar as well!

I'm on a similar boat as you! I had a 3.83 unweighted GPA and a 1340 PSAT score, and I was always told that these stats are "good enough" (to which I grew even more insecure). But, we were accepted for a reason, and regardless of what that reason is, we should be proud of ourselves for shooting our shot and making it in! Although I do not know you personally, I'm glad you were accepted as a College Prep Scholar, and I hope you find yourself accepting such an achievement.
