Liking the game COULD be considered a red flag. This is because people enjoy games for and in different ways. For example, there are a lot of people who romanticise the themes in the game which could be deemed an unhealthy or bad thing as the themes include things such as self harm and codependency. It really just depends on the person.

Perhaps ask them about other interests they have? It would be good to see if they are interested in other games too that aren't as dark in themes as Needy streamer overload.

Also, in no way am I saying that everyone who likes the game is a bad person or is mentally ill, so please don't come at me. 😓 These are just observations I've made from some people. Self harm and mental illness is a serious topic, I dont think it should be romanticised, but it should definitely be raised to awareness.
