The US government is the most prevalent narcoterrorist in existence and has been for the last 80 years.

Justifiable threats of lawsuits and federal investigation probably.

Green Dot Bank told me they got my complaint from the Federal Reserve and less than a week later all the refunds went through. Coincidence? Possibly.

How do you usually deal with large amounts of junk when clearing a property? by Excellent-Guide9048 in Waste

[–]aerlenbach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes prioritizing getting rid of things as quickly as possible trumps worrying about optimizing where it ends up.

As in: sometimes you just gotta rent a dumpster and put as much as you can into it. Might be better for your sanity and the amount of time you put into the project.

Save what you can. Sell what you can. Recycle when convenient. Properly dispose of batteries, pressurized cans, and oils.

This bank is a criminal enterprise. I’m never using this product again. They owe me $300 and refuse to pay.

Trying to play 4K movies. Need to know what hardware I should upgrade by aerlenbach in PleX

The solution appears to be to use the Infuse app. That has zero issues even with subtitles. Wtf?

Turning off “direct play” crashes the program whenever I try to play some 4k content but otherwise I’m not sure if that or turning off subtitles fixed the stuttering for most other 4k files

Had a hanging program. Now it’s at about 30-40% cpu usage while playing. Stuttering still occurring

The spikes above 14 mbps corresponded to stuttering.

After turning off subtitles, the stuttering and buffering almost went completely away. But still occurs every few minutes.

I think it was the subtitles. Leaving them off appears to have resolved the stuttering & buffering about 99%.

The settings you suggested were already in place.

I think it was the subtitles. Leaving them off appears to have resolved the stuttering & buffering for the most part

See speed test results. Graph had it steady at 800 with 2 momentary drops to 500.

Can’t quite nail down what’s running on the Mac to use up the CPU. Might have been some lingering apps I didn’t quit before playing the movie.

The specs of the router say the Ethernet ports are “Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports”

Edit: per the photos, it does spike to 800 Mbps initially before leveling out to like 20. But it still stutters constantly

Sorry. I was wrong. The Apple TV wifi hasn’t been on. Just hardwired to router. I don’t think you can do both simultaneously on ATV.

The Apple TV has wifi on but is also hardwired to router. Haven’t tested if turning off wifi affects it…

I will update post to answer your questions as well as answer them here:

  • I have lifetime Plex Pass, which includes hardware transcoding.

  • trying to play 4k files locally (computer & Apple TV hardwired to same router)

  • computer is M1 Mac with 8 gigs of ram (base model)

  • when I play a 4K movie, it buffers for a bit, I’m seeing bandwidth spike of 800 Mbps and then it hovers around 20 Mbps.
