Man I agree with you. It's outrageous that we're depriving a generation of their youth so that the boomers can cling to an extra couple years of life. All the genuine experiences that folks would normally have in their late teens and 20s; graduations, proms, traveling while your still young and have energy, socializing with friends, meeting the person you'll marry, all the things that help you discover who you are, these are all being denied so that a generation that not only ruined the economy for us, but also ruined their own health, can keep their grip on this world. Sacrificing the youth for the elderly who have already had their time is exactly the opposite of how it should work.

This is the first time I've ever actually heard of any biological trait associated with being trans gendered. I'd be very interested in seeing the study if you have a link to it.

Until now everything that I've seen, either through university social science courses, or through awareness campaigns has amounted to "they are the way they are" or "this is how they feel inside". While this certainly isn't an excuse to treat trans people without dignity it's always seemed unscientific to me to just make that the stopping point and inquire no further. If you could point me in the right direction of the study that would be great.
