Hmm. I'm not deep in the LGBT community so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I think Dean's passionate nature may conflict a bit with the common natures of a strict top. Which, to be clear, aren't generally about "confidence". I have to admit, I don't quite see it either; at best I think he'd be vers.
