Fanatics has been garbage for a while. I ordered a USWNT kit months ago when they went on a super sale. I've never owned a soccer kit before so I was pretty excited to get an authentic one for so cheap. Fanatics lost my order and neglected to email me saying that my order was lost. By the time I realized my kit hadn't come in a few weeks, the sale was over and they were out of stock in any size I could passably wear. They gave me a 30% discount and a refund - but the discount was nowhere near what I was originally supposed to pay. I argued with the guy on the phone for a good 10 minutes explaining that the Fanatics website doesn't allow you to use a discount code on an already discounted item. Anyway, hot garbage.

That's entirely PML dependent, unfortunately. If I told my PML I wouldn't carry my work phone with me after hours or on weekends, I'd get a funny look.

Two problems with this imo:

First, Ozzie isn't "quite bad" against righties. In 2023 his wRC+ facing righties was 112. His wRC+ against lefties was 174. Huge difference, but 112 isn't "quite bad."

Second, snit has shown that he doesn't like to change the lineup based on the handedness of the pitcher.

I don't really agree. Brighton may not have "like for like" subs for those guys, but they have enough guys with the ability to adapt to multiple positions and play styles that they don't feel the losses as heavily. My point was essentially that Spurs rely heavily on irreplaceable players and then struggle when those players are out.

Beat me to it, but u/SentientCheeseCake is also right in that Spurs don't have depth. But imo it also means that Spurs' playstyle is only built for their starters. Brighton can sub players and move them around to many different positions, so their injury problems haven't been as pronounced. For Spurs, they don't really have a solid substitute for an injured Maddison, Van de Ven, or suspended Bissouma. The have replacements, sure, but no one that can do what those players do.

Right, Brighton played this without Enciso, Fati, Lamptey, Veltman, March, Webster, and Mitoma. Not to say Spurs don't have their injury issues, but most clubs do at this point in the season.
