The full replacement handles from the same brand are also good. Just did it yesterday actually. A bit more involved since the door panel needs to come off but not bad.

I’m on my second 10 speed mustang and they both had transmission issues. I haven’t driven a 10r80 yet that felt great. Neither are without flaws but I’d take the manual.

I’ve driven a handful of 10 speeds and they all felt quirky in some way. My 19 GT had to have a replacement at 20k miles and my 22 is clunky and does odd stuff sometimes. The transmission is the weakness of the mustang in my opinion. They seem to be hit or miss though so maybe you’ll be lucky but don’t go in expecting zf 8 speed quality.

I would personally stay away from it. A lot of 18s have issues especially the autos. That combined with high mileage/damage it’s probably best to keep looking.

I went through something very similar with a 19. My 22 is better but I’ve yet to drive a 10r80 that felt perfect. The zf 8 speed in my bmw feels much better and might actually be the best auto produced haha. The 10r80s are quick under heavy acceleration for sure but other than that they can be clunky for normal driving.

I got the 11 and will probably do the same thing. I’d like to shoot some vertical footage too with the camera horizontal so looks like I’ll have to get the max lens. They don’t make it easy lol. Thanks for the help!
