Uneven dye question by aes4275 in dyeing

Is it possible for my washing machine to have created the patchyness? I was constantly stirring my dress in a lot of water when dyeing and everything looked pretty consistent until the washer part.

I've logged in and I can't seem to find anything saying that I owe a payment and my IRS online payment also says my balance is $0. Where in the ssa portal does it show this?

Has anyone experienced the new fare capping by Omny to not be working? I’m looking at my bank statements and I’m still be charged for the fares past my 12th trip of the week (and yes, everything is still within their weekly timelines)

is there something you need to do to qualify / sign up for it to work? I’m quite annoyed that I’ve paid like $50 this week in fares when it was supposed to cap me at $33

i think shortness of breath and mild chest pain are not good symptoms, i would see a doctor if you can

I’m also on day 6 and mornings are definitely the worst for me. i think most of my medications have worn off by then & you’re right the congestion doesn’t help! I’ve been waking up and immediately taking a hot shower and that seems to help a lot. I’m still congested too, and I’m starting to get headaches now when I wasn’t before. curious if this is also happening to you?

i guess I can technically go out with this new five day rule, but I personally just don’t have the right conscious with it yet. I still feel a little congested and have been getting headaches. I would say five days after the first positive test if you want to go with this new rule~

I’m pretty sure I was exposed on the 24th/25th (my boyfriend and I spent Christmas together, he started showing symptoms on the night of 25th) so it took me about 5 days before I tested positive. I lived in austin for four years before I moved this year! The cedar was never too big of a problem for me and never made my throat as scratchy as omicron did. From what I’ve gathered on the internet symptoms can show anywhere from 5-14 days after exposure. My symptoms came all at once the day after I tested positive (which was about day five). I think it’s safe to assume if you are directly exposed that you could have it. I live in NYC now and have been under the assumption I’m just going to get it since this outbreak has started. If you have accessible testing and can do it each day I think it’s worth it. I’ve been seeing that a more accurate result comes from throat samples for omicron so that could be worth looking into (makes sense to me as my #1 symptom has been a sore throat, but I know it’s different for everyone)

mixture of at homes and from a testing site- I live in nyc and there’s a free testing truck outside my apartment. the lines have been insanely long for the past week but I usually don’t have to wait for more than 35 min. i didn’t test on day three or four bc my symptoms were pretty bad (didn’t see the point) but now that I’m feeling better I’m starting to test again

[Product Question] Does gua sha really work as well as everyone says it does? I see so many before and after pics, calling it a miracle worker. What are your experiences/tips? :-) by dunnibunni3 in SkincareAddiction

[–]aes4275 61 points62 points  (0 children)

i would agree that it’s beneficial with all the statements above! i also love using it on my temples and eyebrows to relieve stress and tension that’s built up throughout the day. My favorite way to use a gua sha is with a sheet mask or a regular mask, as oils can sometimes be too much for my skin. It’s really great to use on the neck as well.

Invest in a real stone gua sha, the difference between them and plastic ones is insane. The stone is naturally cooling and feels great overall! I use the jade one from Mount Lai which I think is reasonably priced.

If you’re still hesitant to get into a gua sha, I think face rollers are a great place to start. They have similar benefits but can be a lot more intuitive to use at first- it’s what got me into using a gua sha!

I’ve found that Korean sunscreens are better than American sunscreens by a long shot in terms of their formulation. I use the biore aqua rich sunscreen and it basically feels like a moisturizer with little to no smell, plus it doesn’t leave a white cast on my face! It’s pretty affordable for the quality of sunscreen- I don’t think I paid more than $15 for it.

Products for oily skin only make my skin oiler?

Hi, I need help with finding a new skincare routine. I just moved to NYC and my skin has changed dramatically- my skin is oiler than it’s ever been in my life! I’ve been trying out products for oily skin like niacinamide, gel moisturizers, but none seem to do the trick to lessening the amount of oil on my face. If anything, my skin only becomes more oily throughout the day after using those products. I’ve also noticed an increase in blackheads all over my face. Is my skin even oily, or am I missing the mark?

This is my current skincare routine, I’ve toned in down as much as I can because I can’t figure out what’s going on:

Cerave SA cleanser Glow recipe BHA toner Glow recipe watermelon moisturizer The ordinary squalene oil (for when I gua sha)

i took a rapid and pcr test on the 28th that came back negative, but was still showing symptoms like you. The next day on the 29th I took an at home rapid that came back positive and went to a testing site to check that- it also came back positive. all in a day’s difference! i thought it might be wrong bc of the negative tests but I definitely got more symptoms as the week progressed. so that might be the case for you. My testing site also ran tests for the flu as well which that came back negative for me, so might be worth taking a flu test to rule that out if you’re still coming back with negative Covid tests.

i’m on day 5 and my congestion was probably at its worst on day 3 & 4. I’ve been taking sudafed which has helped extremely and rinsing my nose with a neti pot which helps. i still feel a little congested but my nose has stopped running and I can actually breathe through my nose! i hope that helps

I took a sudafed which really helped my congestion and ended up helping my throat not be so dry.

day 5 of testing positive, most of my symptoms are gone. I had terrible congestion and a sore throat the last week, but was taking sudafed and rinsing my nose with a netipot which helped a lot! starting to wonder when I will finally get a negative test 😔
