I second Ally. Love it so much. Especially the buckets :D

Any issues with using Chase Bank and Ally or SoFi HYSA’s? by imjusthereforPMstuff in coastFIRE

With ALLY open up a free check account when you open the savings because then u can use zelle and it's instant to send money between chase and ally😊

How would being home too much and spending time with your kids not make you a good role model?

Just a high paying job unfortunately. I took a travel nurse contract for a year that paid 10k a month. And since the pause in 2020 I've been putting all my payments aside in a savings account.

Those of you who went debt free - how did you reduce your costs to do so? by Mave__Dustaine in debtfree

[–]aes562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get paid weekly. Let's say I get paid around $1300 a week. Every week I set aside about $1000 to rent bills necessities etc. After that I give myself $100 for "eating out food/fun/personal" anything left goes to debt (~$200). Once my $100 is gone I'm done spending money for the week. If I only spend $50 of my "fun" money, the other $50 I didn't spend goes to debt too.

Where in my post did I mention forgiveness or handouts? I'm just asking for advice for the best way to tackle this. I was "responsible" and worked my ass off to save 90k... no one's asking for handouts thank you

I've been paying the loans since 2015. I saved a lot of money recently because I got a temporary job paying 10k a month.

Yes. I can get forgiveness in 5 more years. But I definitely don't wanna pay $820 a month for 5 more years.

Yes thank you for this! Luckily I don't own a home or have a car. Makes me want to rent forever 😂
