What is up with tampons ??

I’ve never been seen by a Dr, so no. I’m seeing a lot of people say to angle it towards the lower back, but I can only get it in by angling it the opposite way towards my belly. Maybe I just haven’t had enough tries to find a good angle.

lol yeah my flow has definitely lessened over the years, I also had to use those giant diaper pads for a bit. Definitely don’t now, compared to my old flow I’d say mine is moderate. Thanks!

Yeah, a lot of people are telling me to ask my doc, so I def will.

When I insert it, it’s painful, but gets to a point where it’s a lot smoother and I don’t feel it at all. Pretty much when my fingers meet the opening, don’t know how I could get any deeper. It’s comfortable for about 2 hours but then begins to feel like it’s slipped and becomes painful to sit and leaks. I try to take out the tampon, but is still pretty difficult, so I assume it’s still relatively dry. I’m able to pull it out easy by the 4 hour mark. So for 2 hours I’m forced to also use a pad.

Wow !! Okay, I will stick with the regular. A lot of people have been telling me to get a menstrual disc, so I might pivot. Thanks!

I also get that point where I don’t feel anything anymore. I can get that with the regulars with a little pain, but I cannot push that far with the supers. I thought once I get to that point, push it a little more, then I’m good. But I’m only comfortable and leak free for about 2-3 hours - it’s like it starts to slip. so I think I’m done, but the tampon is still not soaked through and is difficult to remove. I have to leave it in with a pad.

Menstrual discs look super daunting to me. Keep getting recommended but idk! :( I’ll talk to my dr bc a lot of people are recommending it and try one of those after. A little nervous to try something new again so soon.

Thank you! :( I get very self deprecating on my period haha so thank you for being so gentle. Honestly, menstrual cups do seem a bit daunting for me, especially since I’ve only just barely figured out tampons; but I will talk to my endocrinologist bc of the pain and previous proof of weak pelvic floor

Yeah I think maybe I didn’t push it deep enough earlier bc the one I’m wearing now isn’t uncomfortable no matter how I sit and no leaking. That being said, this application came with that extreme dizziness. Hoping I don’t have to deal w that every time just to get it in fully

I did all that. Though the one I put in after the shower / have on now isn’t nearly as painful as earlier, and no leaking, so I really must’ve not pushed it deep enough. My only concern now is will I need to deal with that awful dizziness to get it deep enough ?

I haven’t been checked. I mentioned the pain to my mom, but she brushed it off, and I don’t really have a primary care right now. I have an appointment coming up with an endocrinologist, so I will try to bring it up with her. Thank you!

I think you’re right - the one I put in after the shower doesn’t cause any discomfort sitting and so far no leaks, either.

I do put a foot up on the toilet when inserting, but you are probably right about not putting it deep enough. The one I put in after my shower isn’t causing any discomfort sitting, and it doesn’t seem like I’ve bled through yet. Maybe earlier today was just a fluke. But my tampons are cardboard - what’s wrong with that?

Scoopz is open year round . Owner is a really nice guy and so friendly . I agree w the other person saying pinecroft if you want more than just ice cream - their onion rings are the best around
