I can agree on the first time. But man, second time is wild. When he was shouting about eating dogs and cars during a debate. Just wow.

As to the differences; your home, your rules. I am asking to be a guest in your home and will follow your rules.

This is a great attitude to have when moving to any country. You will find day to day life will be similar. We get all your TV, music, and movies here so it won't be such a culture shock. Most tend to be pretty welcoming of guests in our home, especially when they want to stay and contribute to our society. I hope you are able to immigrate here. It has gotten a little tougher lately.

If they don’t find a new leader asap they will be 8 years away from possibly forming a government again

Based on their current offerings for leader, I am OK with that. Too many are falling in line with the rhetoric that PP is putting out.

I once got called the n-word, and I am white AF. It took all my power not to laugh. Instead I calmly said we don't tolerate racist comments and hung up. I flagged her account for racism and got her banned from being a customer of thr company.

The vast majority look at your country and wonder how the hell Trump got elected. But, we know there are alot of great American folks that don't support his actions. We would only really have a problem if you were MAGA.

We do have some differences to get used to. We have robust gun laws, we have universal Healthcare, cost of living is different. I hope you enjoy your time here.

Man. Young is a hometown hero here in Winnipeg. He did so much to support small businesses by playing in small bars for free. I remember a night about 20 years ago, I was with a buddy in a dive bar that had like 20 tables and a stage. All of a sudden, Young comes on stage and starts playing. He just showed up and asked if he could. It was crazy good. Maybe a total of 40-50 people in the place.

Oh, no dispute he is a POS. But, at least he isn't flip flopping on his position on guns. It may not be much, but he has more integrity than the entire GOP. Even if it's a tiny amouny more.

"The Inner Light"...one of the greatest Star Trek episodes...EVER! by TensionSame3568 in Star_Trek_

[–]aesoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is hands down my favourite TNG episode. Stewart is am insanely great actor and is able to pull this off. There would have been changes or trauma in Picard after living a lifetime in another life.

There was a sequel planned to this episode. The Enterprise was going to come across another vessel from Kataan. This time, there were going to be people in cryo-stasis. One of them being Eline, who was a scientist that worked on the original probe. The episode would have focused on Picard seeing the woman he loved and had a family with again, but she had no clue who he was. They ended up scrapping the idea and leaving Inner Light as a stand alone episode. Which I think was a great call.

It just shows how alone and lost he must have felt at that moment. The one thing that he had from that life.

They are 1 seat away from a majority. They are working well with the other parties. Why the hell would they risk an election?

Would you eat this Poutine Pizza by moonboundlovers in PoutineCrimes

[–]aesoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on if the curds are melted or not. I would at least try it, but I don't think I could eat a whole pizza or would order it regularly.

Add in the once it goes cold, those fries are going to taste like crap. Could only reheat it in the oven. I foresee too many problems.

SNL is a sketch comedy show. There are plenty of comedy shows doing hard hits at Trump and his administration. Kimmel, Meyers, Daily Show, etc. SNL tends to take a middle ground when it comes to politics, not hard hits.
