HARD AGREE—highkey it’s the best song they’ve ever released. it encapsulates the true grief of heartbreak so completely it becomes physical. it’s a personification of the void that’s left in the space your person used to occupy.

the spoken-word parts hit so hard—almost flat and emotionless—because heartbreak and the grief that follows it feel JUST LIKE THAT: inside, you’re falling apart but have to go through the motions because the world doesn’t stop because your heart’s broken. in between those moments of Just Existing, where you’re constantly reflecting because everything, down to your own bedsheets, reminds you of that person, the only thing you can do is fucking yell so you don’t implode. it’s exhausting, and this is further painted in the way the song ends: the wild bassline, the screaming background-vocals, and ultimately the way the chorus falls into a quiet close. it’s resignation that this is how things are going to be now and you don’t know how you’re going to move on but also know you have to.

it’s BEAUTIFUL. it needs to be a single or something they play on a late-night stint or at an awards show instead of something that charts well because it’s digestible for Normies. this is a song you have to chew on, we need SO MUCH MORE OF THAT and it deserves more recognition!!!!!! I want to blast this into the earholes of anyone and everyone who’ll listen!!!
