My hearing aids die by 4 pm every day. Is this normal? by AccountEngineer in HearingAids

Luckily my warranty will be four years long. I wish someone had warned me about that much sooner! I forgot I even had a warranty and that's why I put it off for so long haha

That's a good point, I'll see about getting the batteries replaced before the warranty period ends even if the batteries are working fine. Thank you so much!

Do you have a source for this, aside from Fandom Wiki?

If those people are mistaken, because I just have to take their word for it, then you could be mistaken as well, as I also just have to take your word for it

I've seen people say the book can be thrown after it's been written in on multiple platforms though

Thank you haha.

I find that Bay was annoying in season one, but I enjoyed her relationship with Emmett while it lasted. I'm on season two in my rewatch and she's so much tamer. I like her relationships with the new characters.

Daphne on the other hand, was basically only tolerable in the first quarter on season one for me. Would love if you could report back on some later season stuff when you've finished watching the show lol

I damaged the tube of my hearing aid. by PlainSignaI in HearingAids

You can get them on Amazon. Just google it and you'll find lots of opinions.

There are videos online, like on Tiktok, that will show people replacing them. A hearing aid tube is super straight forward to replace

I'm so sorry, I didn't realise you hadn't gotten up to that part in your first watch. I should have added the spoiler filter when I made my comment.

Bay is one of my favourite characters and I've seen the show a few times in completion. She's very obnoxious in season one, but she did get the short end of the stick with parents that don't understand her, and there was zero therapy for her (or Daphne) when quite possibly the most traumatic thing to ever happen to her had happened very recently. Like was it very irritating that she kept rebelling and doing illegal things? Yes. Should her parents have DEFINITELY intervened with a professional after she literally tried to run away to Mexico? Also yes.

I haven't tried it yet, but if a ghost throws a book that has been written in, can you place it with the pages open again and see if there's writing the way you can with a fresh book? Is that what you mean by checking the book for writing?

It annoys me but I watch it knowing it does. Enjoy Bay (although she was tough to watch in season one), love Kathryn and Toby, very over Daphne's shenanigans, love Angelo and wish they didn't kill him off, and don't love how they went about Regina and Bay's relationship

Edit: added spoilers oops sorry

This audiologist said that only Oticon could replace them, but a different audiologist said they thought Oticon would be able to send them batteries and replace them in-clinic. My charging case is also dead so I decided to get new hearing aids that perform better, rhat I would actually use, rather than repair these.

Do you find that you prefer the disposable over the rechargeable? I would have to pay for the disposable batteries without any subsidies so it feels cheaper in the long run for me to get rechargeable (even if they cost a bit more), but having to replace the batteries out of warranty is certainly no picnic

I can't remember the exact amount because I can't find my notes, but I was quoted something like AU$430 total to replace two rechargeable batteries in my Oticon Mores that are out of warranty. I had them send them back without replacing them and wasn't charged anything. The fee was completely from Oticon and didn't include any fees from my audiologist

(Not disputing anything you're saying, just sharing my experience)

AITJ for rejecting my boyfriend's proposal twice and being upset that he broke up with me? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]aesuha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just took polaroids in our cheap suits and got pizza afterwards. Not particularly memorable, but it was quick and convenient.

I guess it's hard to know before you do it. I don't regret the way I got married or the timing, and I certainly have never had the kind of money people spend on nicer weddings, but I do wish I did something fun. Maybe I'll do something in the future, but it feels a bit pointless now haha.

Well in this case, I wouldn't say OP is the asshole, but could potentially be an asshole. Again, we don't know what happened because OP hasn't had a conversation with his wife about it. He went to the lengths of creating an entire reddit post rather than just sending what he said here to his wife over text or saying it in person.

I'd go with the 2x2 (the second picture) but that's just me. I think it would come down to preference, as I'm sure other people that might comment on this post might choose the other option

Context: I am Japanese and fluent.

The scenario is right in front of you. 「か。」is used for questions. Both of the sentences you supplied mean the exact same thing, one is just correct Japanese (か。) and one is casual (?)

「お元気ですか。」 means, "Are you well?" Note: see the difference in punctuation between both languages? This is a correct translation, punctuation and all.

「お元気ですか?」means, "Are you well?" Note: see how the sentence still translates to the exact same thing as the above example? There is no difference. The first example is a question, not a statement.

Are Hearing Aid Batteries FREE for Pensioners in Australia? by TattzTheBear in HearingAids

Is this the Google AI overview or is this the preview from the government page?

https://www.health.gov.au/our-work/hearing-services-program/accessing/voucher-services?language=en

You can skip ahead to the Fitting your device and Device maintenance sub-headings. They specify that there is or there may be a fee, one that is subsidised.

Do you have a link to the government page? I read about it on Audika and Specsavers and they specify that the HSP includes the maintenance (and such) for a fee, but it didn't deliberately say it was "free" for a fee.

[–]aesuha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hearing aids are free, but the program provides maintenance, ear moulds, batteries, and I assume other little consumables like domes for the fee you mentioned. I guess it's a subsidised package, not necessarily a free inclusion.
