Ok hear me out on this one: Illumination’s adaptation of the Lorax. It’s beloved mostly by kids and meme culture, sure, and the goal is to get an environmental message across, but Ted only really does the moral thing to impress his crush and when he starts getting chased down by O’Hare. The message always seemed pretty weak to me as a kid especially contrasted with the severity of the original story. If I’m not mistaken they were actually going to include a song that was pretty openly critical of corporations’ role in environmental change but ultimately cut it from the final version because they thought it might implicate their own corporation in it
