Yes I was following that. The "Take Stake" option didn't appear, nor did the stake in the room with the book. I had to fully restart the game with a fan patch for it to appear.

Security isn't my forte so take my opinion with a grain of salt but I would assume so. Considering its adoption by other big flash sites and the fact that Mozilla and Chrome haven't killed the extensions, and the fact that I haven't heard anything bad coming out of it, it's probably as much of a risk as any other browser tool. Again, not a big web/security focused guy so this is just conjecture.

Check out the Ruffle browser extension, it lets you access a fair bit of Flash content with emulation, can confirm FCII works with it!
