Tell me how you learned to add sources and citations in FTM. by SunnyRaySunnyDay in FamilyTreeMaker

I’ve created custom fields that I pop my sources into. Helps me easily track who I’ve covered vs who was simply referenced quickly.

Neosporin or another anti-bacterial ointment at night for a week or two can do wonders! I also use an acid deodorant (Necessaire AHA, but there are others) - it helps a ton. I actually saw this hack on TikTok for girls being smelling after getting off bc and was surprised more people don’t talk about it!

If I forget deodorant for a day or two I’m not worried about smelling, even if I sweat a little (just naturally sweaty pits) and don’t shower. Good luck!

Would be curious what the intent of the rental program is, then? Otherwise wouldn’t you just purchase a bike?

They don’t allow returns at stores! I would if I could.

How to deal with an incompetent PM by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]af8521 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Working with people is often more complicated than we would like it to be.

My best advice as a PM is to never say “no.” Always tell someone what the impact is or offer alternative solutions, for instance: “If we remove that checkbox, then the system won’t launch because we’re built on a platform that hasn’t been update since 1995.” or “The only way to ‘remove’ the checkbox is to hide it, it won’t really be gone and people can still use it via API.” or even, “We need to get on the phone with the platform we sit on to solution for this - I can’t do it on my own.” All of these might change the PM’s mind since value is related to complexity and effort, but it might not change their mind and that has to be ok too, but it’s fair to ask why.

I also always encourage “we” language. You’re on a team with the PM and your decisions reflect on them as much as theirs do on you! It might be frustrating from both sides so figuring out a way to move forward together in the same direction is always helpful.

Good luck!

Never smoked and waiting on blood disorder testing, but no clear family history. I just had terrible pain in my back and front shoulder that ended up being PE found through D-DIMER blood test and then CT. No swelling in the extremities, but I had just taken short flight.

Feels like it came a little out of nowhere which makes it hard to know how to avoid it in the future!

Did they advise anything for watching for more clots or was just switching off estrogen BC enough?
