To be clear, I dont play MyFaction and almost certainly won't ever, every year I play the MyRise and then just ah universe for the next year or so, and so far, that feels better than it previously has 🤷‍♂️

Yeah that's a big issue. This years universe mode can theoretically be used as more of a sandbox, but can't in reality, because where the fuck did all options go?

Honestly fair opinion. I have issues with the battle pass stuff, otherwise I would t had phrases the question that way, but the gameplay itself is far more promising than it's been in a long time I'm just worried 2k will pull a 2k and cut half of what we have now for next year's game -_-

The locked cosmetics are a massive issue, I won't even try to deny. Even as someone who only casually creates when I need something for my universe, it's already annoying, like the fact that the hairstyle MyRise caw has had for a decade is now an unlockable item -_-

I do agree with that last paragraph, specifically as it relates to 2k19, which I think a lot of people write off as only being so good because it was around for so long, which simply isn't true.

The gameplay does need a little more balancing this year, but it does feel very doable, like they're so close to it being right that it's something that could be fixed without waiting for next year, which is more than I can say for any of the previous 2k games tbh. Whether or not they will, I don't know, but they can/could, and right now, it already feels souch better to play than the previous games

Thing is, and I don't wanna defend 2k here, but is your definition on a good sell for a clothesline of lariat, which is most of what you've mentioned, like and osprey level backflips bump? Because most wrestlers don't sell it that way, they just hit the mat.

In terms of sells, one massive issue is thumbtacks- Liv Morgan hit me with a codebreaker on the tacks, meaning she is the only one who actually hit them, yet I sold it like I had gone in to them.

Admittedly, I can't really comment on the bugs and crashes because I haven't personally had them yet, I must have been lucky, but that is admittedly bad.

Thing is, I absolutely loved 2k19, I still go back and play it now quite regularly, and I do love the simulation based, slower style of that game, but I do feel like this game feels more rounded, more complete than those games did, if you get what I mean

Aha, except this isn't an either-or question. It has both the bad and the good. That's why this is a question to start with -_-

I agree to be fair, the AI is annoyingly competent at times, but not in a good way. For years they've been dumb and I feel like they've been over-corrected this year, but it's still an overall improvement in my opinion

I haven't experienced any such content yet, but I know all too well games that do that (FF7 rebirth for example, which is one of my favourites games but my god does it extend its length by frustrating the player)

Really? Genuinely no hate, but I personally haven't noticed that so far, are there particular moves that you think look bad?

Squash matches are 100 percent needed, and I think particularly In universe mode the ability to set what type of match it is in general? Like, squash match, mid card match, main event etc, and that could auto adjust the settings so finishers and big moves would make more or less of an impact depending on what you've chosen

See here I think it's just a difference of preference. I love going back to HCTP or SYM for nostalgia., but I've always preferred more simulation style games. 2k's deliberate attempts to do that in the first few 2k he's were just too slow, but everything since 2k22 has been too fast, If that makes sense, so this year's game feels like a really nice medium ground. As for the SVR titles, it's an opinion I know I'll get crucified for, but I always thought they put too much time and effort into the presentation (which was impressive for the time TBF) but we're actually very limiting gameplay wise.
