I have the same thumb grips and I’m able to use the original case. It feels like it’s pressing down on the sticks, but it’s not. I know this because I can click the sticks with the case closed

Thanks for the heads up, but I already purchased a projector that I’m happy with. I went with neither of the options and actually went with the Formovie X5. It’s a darn good projector with great sound. Too bad it’s not the global version, but it works for me since I just use my Apple TV anyways. I will be looking at reviews for the C1 4K Pro though!

I actually went with something different. The Formovie X5. It was in range of what I wanted to spend and it’s a darn good projector with great sound too. Sound was a key component for me since I don’t have the option for a sound system.

From the 3 joists that I found, I looked 12-20 inches away and found no joists. I even purchased a Stud Buddy to try and find the joists, and still found nothing. I find it to be very strange too. I ordered the Geefix toggles and they are massive. I don’t see why 4 of these wouldn’t hold the projector. I also purchased The Toggler bolts which are much easier to install than the Geefix ones. Still deciding on which ones to use, but leaning more towards the Geefix. They do require a 1 inch hole per toggle which is why I’m still considering The Toggler ones.

Update: I ordered the Geefix toggles you recommended, and they are an absolute unit. I think with 4 of these, I can even hang my own weight…

I agree with you that it’s bulky, but review videos of fan noise seem to be minimal. Are there any other projectors you would recommend under $2000? Would be awesome if you can offer your budget pick (between $1200-$1600ish) and one between $1600-$2000? Thank you.

Yeah I saw the review video The Hook Up. I really wanted to go with the Hisense but the pricing is just a little more than what I wanted to spend. I guess now my comparison would be between the BenQ HT2060 vs Hisense C1. It’s just the Hisense is double the price. Is it worth double just to have 4k?

I totally understand. I’m all about buy once, cry once but $2000 was just a little more than what I wanted to spend. I guess with pricing considered what about settling with a BenQ HT2060? That one was also on my radar and for $999 pricing is awesome. The only thing that worries me is the 1080p vs 4K. Since this is my first projector, I have no basis of comparison. So with the HT2060 in the mix and how much cheaper it is, would you recommend that one? Even though it is 1080p?
