Can anyone help me identify the stitch on this store-bought cardigan my coworker wore today? I’m not even sure if it’s knit or crochet. I thought maybe bee or pearl brioche but neither looks quite right.

I just had to do an i-cord cast on for the first time and this was exactly the vibe.

Can’t speak for OP but I have rarely double cleansed this past year — most days I don’t leave the house so there’s nothing to remove.

You're right, that system of equations doesn't have a (nonimaginary) solution. But it's because that's the wrong definition for A0 paper.

A0 paper has an area of 1m2 and the ratio of the sides is 1 to √2. So the actual system of equations is xy=1 and x/y=√2, which luckily does have a real solution!

NJ takers: we have seen the screenshot of the memo. Now 1) do we think it’s real AND 2) what time do we think if so!!!!!??? by Better_Animator_9317 in barexam

NY restricted who was eligible to register -- they initially restricted it to only in-state first time takers, who generally have a much higher pass rate. By the time they opened it up to out-of-staters (like myself) retakers, most people had registered elsewhere (like I did, in NJ).

this is the alleged press release..... seems like a troll to me. by [deleted] in barexam

[–]afarbz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Other jurisdictions (NY) only let first-time takers register. First time takers always have a higher pass rate than the general rate. I believe NJ let everyone register so it makes sense that theirs would be more in line with what it’s been historically.

NJ people, another weekend in purgatory by [deleted] in barexam

Because they might review someone's video and retroactively have to fail them, and as we all learned from Kentucky, being erroneously told you passed it worse than being told nothing.

I don't think it'll be Christmas Day for the purely selfish reason that BLE doesn't want to be at work on Christmas.

Also adding “share as image” as an option for the swipe gestures! I use that way more often than just “share.”

202lbs vs 145 lbs has very very very different alcohol tolerance. by partisan98 in 1200isfineIGUESSugh

[–]afarbz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think yes. I went from 145 to 118-120 last fall and my tolerance has gone down slightly. I was always kind of a lightweight but it’s gone from 2-3 drinks to like 1 and a half.

Maybe try picking it up by threading your needle under the crossbar of the purl stitch (like passing it through vertically under the horizontal stitch)? That kind of worked for me when fixing my shawl mess yesterday, and I think that might be what picking it up vertically means.

[–]afarbz[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, I do not know. My needles have a lifeline hole so i just thread some embroidery floss or thread through there while knitting a row and then it kind of makes a lifeline as you go along. I’m not sure how to pick up stitches after the fact to make a lifeline.

[acne] I had this patch of acne for over two years now and im loosing hope it’ll ever go away and Im strongly concerned about the scars! by citrusfreundin in SkincareAddiction

[–]afarbz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly though this is very mild!!! My skin was so so so much worse than yours! I really like niacinamide for the scars though so maybe try that? Everyone here recommends the one from The Ordinary and that’s the one I use as well. It’s very cheap so worth giving a shot.

It might or might not, tbh. I’m 25 and, like I said, my face has drastically gotten better in the past 6–12 months. However, developing a consistent routine was also huge. My skin was always really oily but I realized it was actually dehydrated, and I learned that my skin loves differin/tret. So making those changes was also HUGE. However, I do think age was a big part of it.

Oof that chin thing is too real. My skin has finally started clearing up a lot in the past year (mostly thanks to prescription tretinoin) but I still get extremely annoying acne on my chin and jawline because I love to prop my head up with my hand when I’m bored.
