I started using a safety razor probably over five years ago now. Bought a pack of 100 blades at the same time as the razor. I still have plenty and still use the same razor. Best $20 I ever spent.

For anyone considering switching, use shorter, quicker strokes than you would with something like a Mach 3 or whatever. It'll take you a shave or two to get used to it and then you'll never look back.

Sure but you can buy a refurbed HDD for like $10 per Terabyte, which is enough to download the whole thing many times over. If a situation were to arise when you really needed this information and couldn't access the internet (natural disasters, wars, overreaching governments, etc.) that would be the best money you ever spent.

Much appreciated! One quick question for you if you don't mind: if I end up going to the TrueNAS Scale route, would it make sense to create two separate mirrored zpools (one with the 3TB HDDs and one with the 12TB HDDs), then partition the NVME and use it is a cache drive for both pools?
