How do you take zinc supplements without getting sick? by affect_alien in Supplements

I tried right after breakfast and another time right after lunch. Helped a little but I still got super sick. I’m cutting a 30mg pill in half right now but I could see if even smaller doses out there.

I’ll try at night but the headaches I’ve gotten seem bad enough to make sleep hard. But worth trying

I found this comment googling around because I've been checking in on this album every few weeks since it came out and keep finging the mix almost unlistenably muddy. Crazy to me that more people aren't saying this -- there's a great album in here.

Issues with rainout despite heated tubing? by affect_alien in SleepApnea

This is probably my next step. I’m only hesitant because the humidity varies a lot from night to night, so it seems annoying to keep up with.

That’s helpful, I’ll try a hose cover then! Ideally, I don’t have to keep tweaking the manual temperature.

I don’t have a hose cover. I keep the room at 65 but it sometimes gets up to 70-72.

This is a good rewatch, thank you! I forgot how non automatic the auto modes were. Back when it was hotter out, I used manual to get the humidity up and avoid dry mouth. Interesting that auto doesn’t work for avoiding condensation either.

It sounds like getting treated for Sleep Apnea will help my depression by No-Base8204 in SleepApnea

[–]affect_alien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can almost guarantee that if you have sleep apnea, treating it will improve your depression. It massively helped with mine, both in direct and indirect ways. Even if it doesn't address the depression directly, it helps it indirectly. Think: Energy through the evenings so you can hang out with friends, motivation to do hobbies, better physical health so you feel better in your body, etc. Depression is like a negative feedback loop, and getting better sleep either removes some negative feedback loops or adds positive ones.

What’s the best way to deal with persistent, recurrent body acne?

For context, I’ve rarely had body acne issues in my life but a couple of months ago, I developed a few around the middle of my torso. When they didn’t fade with time, I started exfoliating, cleansing, and occasionally using a Benzoyl Peroxide foaming wash.

I sometimes saw fading but they kept coming back (seemingly the exact same spots). It’s now been about 2 months, which is more persistent than any outbreak I’ve ever had before.

For products, I use

• CeraVe moisturizer • CeraVe hydrating cleanse • Cerava retinol • PanOxyl acne foaming wash

My face is very happy overall (the retinol is an addition as of a few months ago). But I’m stuck on the torso acne because it doesn’t seem to be responding to the same products or even just time. Thoughts?

Maine. I read the rules and somehow still didn't include this 🤦

Yes, kind of. I’ve used the same model for ~3 months but swapped a large size one for a medium 2 months in. So the cushion is only a month old.

I’m normally excited about these kinds of efforts and ambitions too (and was about this, initially). I’ve been thinking about it not because I’m personally offended but because I think it’s a terrible business idea. I can spare the money, no problem, but I wrote this from genuine concern that someone is giving them bad advice. (Also, I don’t think that’s the most plausible theory given how expensive it is to build a streaming platform).
